Ben, Same results here. I will never go back to an oiled filter. I even refused to use the oiled filter that came with my 127mm JLT CAI.

Smoke is correct. Australian Ford modular engines have been spec'd for 5W-30 still to this day. Although, I have heard some forum banter from the Aussie's that this is coming to a change. They are having a hard time finding 5W-20 lubricants in their country. The smart Aussie's don't want it...

3K oil change intervals means big money for oil change facilities. Those who change their own oil, and know better, save a fortune.

Amsoil's legal department will only allow them to recommend the specific weight spec'd by the manufacturer. This is a cover your "buns" approach IMO.

Simply buy a robust 5W-30 lubricant from Amsoil Signature Series, Royal Purple, Red Line, or Mobil 1 EP...and call it a day. Saves a lot of time as well.
