Credit Card Insecurity at the Gas Pump?

My Costco is a very busy place with lots of people watching, they place seals around credit card scanners, and I have seen employees walking around periodically inspecting the seals.

    ESD PROTECTION?

Simply getting off the grid will not protect you from EMP. Any solar, generating or charging equipment not protected by some kind of faraday cage will be fried.

    Newspapers

So much of what is called news is pandering to one or more political parties, especially NPR. I just read a few scientific journals and glance at the nightly news but I do not believe any of it until it has been verified.

    Wiper Chatter

When it comes to Toyota you have to get the real Toyota wiper. I had the same problem with my Avalon. The dealer put on a cheaper non-Toyota wiper. I went back and insisted on the official Toyota wiper. They were expensive, I think $50 maybe more, I cannot remember. But no more chatter.

fight over a $500 mailbox ends in court

I am sure you all will not like my opinion but this is why I will only live in an HOA community. I do not want to see broken down trucks parked in the middle of the yard, basketball hoops strewn all over the driveway, foot long grass, people painting their house pink, pumpkin orange, or sky...

    One car only...forever

Your question leaves out the issue of reliability. Do you really want to keep a BMW when it cost $500 for a new battery or a Porsche when is costs $1500 for a battery and an oil change? If you add reliability into the equation I will keep my Toyota Avalon. 120,000 miles with only oil changes...

    Power Inverters

Sorry, I just do not believe these reviews. The truck alternator is creating 12v power which has to converted to 120v. This is a very wasteful process. In addition you would have to find a way to hold down the gas pedal so the engine runs at 1800 RPM. You might be able to do this for about an...

    gluten-free on the road take2

This is really simple. I have been unable to eat wheat for 62 years. On road trips we take yogurt, cheese, wheat free crackers (they are available almost everywhere these days- not some much 40 years ago). Raisins, almonds, carrots and celery in a cooler with ice and spoons.

How come some people work all the time?

There are a lot of minimum wage or low wage families that work long hours to provide for their families. These are the invisible heroes of the American dream. They are often ridiculed in popular culture.
