    Should I change Oil

2020 was a one-off. I didn’t go grocery shopping all year... paid for a lot of delivery... and worked from home 99%

    Should I change Oil

What is proper Mobil 1? Thankfully, I have no consumption. It is Mobil 1 API-SN. I don't have API SN-Plus or the new API SP. I am not running High-Millage, Extended Protection, or Annual Protection at the moment. In stock I have some all in 5w-30 API-SN: M1 (1 bottle), M1 EP (2 bottles), M1 AP...

Need all the help I can get: Insurance

The problem is it doesn't matter all the pre-existing work that was done nor that there is a tiny rust spot somewhere. They are literally going to take its age 82 and figure that with normal wear and tear it cannot be better than X, which likley will be judged to be fair not good or very good...

NAPA 5w20 synthetic “sm” run it or toss it?

Read the manual on your Toyota. It will specify the oil type. It will likely say something like use API SL or later in which case SM is fine. If it says to use SN or later, then don't use that SM oil. Bottom line... read the manual it tells you what oil to use. As for this oil being 8 years...

    rental car and accident

It really shouldn't be any bigger a deal than wrecking your own vehicle. Heck, it's better because they are left with the shoddy workmanship of poor repairs and the diminishment of value when it is all said an done. If you are at fault, it goes through your insurance first anyway as far as I...

Meg's Ultimate Polish Before Wax ?

Professionally trained detailer with years of experience here. Ultimate polish is formulated from their Mirror Glaze #205. It is not a wax, so you don't want to let it dry then buff. Instead, it is a minimally abrasive polish using their SMAT abrasives. Basically, polish not wax is what makes...

    Battery Replacmeent Woes

Okay I took my ticket with me to an Advance Auto. The Walmart tech set the CCA on the Midtronics tester to 100 CCA for the battery that is rated for 700 CCA. It's a 26F. Hence it checked out at 85 CCA and passed. Guy at Advance has same tester punched in 700 CCA and ran test. It shoed "bad...

    Battery Replacmeent Woes

Good Day: My car lasted about 4 years and a few months on the first battery... Then I put in an Ever Start Max in February 2018. The car won't start unless jumped, but the alternator is working great. I take the battery back with receipt because it has a 3 year free replacement (no proration)...

    Honda Power Equipment Oil

Keep in mind Most Honda Generators are 10W-30, so that's what you probably want to use. I wouldn't go to thicker oil without a reason though it would probably run it just fine. If you have no consumption etc... why not run the recommended SAE viscosity?

Mixing group 3 and ester oil ? Maxima pro racing

I do not personally recommend mixing oils because everything you need should be in the API Approved Pennzoil Platinum or Mobil 1. The biggest thing is no company will stand behind the oil when you mix it. I get it you want to add some ZDDP, an anti-wear additive, but it is not like the honda is...

    New Problem after Switching Oils...

Thanks folks. I will need to post a thread on my ramp extensions. That said, they are like slippers in that the ramps come out. What I did was measure the width of the ramp and cut a 2x4 (1.5 x 3.5) the same length as the width as a stop for the ramp. Next I took some 3/4" plywood and put a...

    Honda Power Equipment Oil

I have an EU2200i, and I ran Honda oil for the first few hours. What I did was initial fill with Honda oil and run 20 minutes then change... Then change at 1 hour then at 3 hours. Then I changed to some very high quality Group III, which is probably as good or better - specifically a quart of...

    New Problem after Switching Oils...

Good Evening... Switched oils... think I have a problem or am developing a problem. I want some input. I have always had my car, a 2013 Infiniti G37, serviced at the dealership since new because it came with free oil changes for the first four years at 3,750 mile intervals, which is fine with...

GM oil or Valvoline full synthetic

I bought AC Delco full synthetic oil for about $4 per quart a few months back with free shipping by ordering a lot. I figure AC Delco is top quality stuff... Meets Dexos and API SN. Valvoline should be fine, too.
