    Microgard MGL57060 C&P

I usually track the maintenance in a document on my computer. For whatever reason I apparently forgot the last entry.

No because that will happen in the middle of the night when I'm at work and I'll have to go get her.

So you bought a new house, and the builders so called plumber did this...

But yet you'll get no end to plumbers complaining about homeowners doing their own work and bragging about how much they made on the job. Same for HVAC people, same for electricians. They act like they are gods gift to the homeowner and then there are those that do stuff like the video.

Breaking in new vehicle with VRP

It was the first and second oil change on my brand new 2025 F150, and it will just keep getting used from here on out. First change at 1000 miles, and then we proceeded to tow our travel trailer over 4000 miles, which ate up 77% of the oil life according to the OLM, changed the oil when we got...

    Post your latest oil change

Lol, no clue. The wife and kid swear I changed the oil in it last December, but the last entry I have in her log is from December 2023. So, somewhere between 8000 and 25000 I would guess. I'm not being mean to her, its just her responsibility to get with me when the car needs maintenance, or...

Kids car. 2018 Jeep Compass 2.4 'Multiair' Out......I THINK it might have been Havoline HM 5W30. For some reason I didn't record it. Microgard Filter - ADV was hard as a rock. In - Valvoline R&P 5W30 and Fram PH10060 Filter

Does Size Matter? Engine Displacement….How Low Can They Go?

My parents weren't very well off in the late 80's and needed cars, they bought two of them. Dad had a 4-door 1990 model (I4/Automatic) and mom had the 1989 hatchback (I3/5 Speed). They were cheap cars, but we never had any problems out of them. They just kept going.

Came off my Kohler 7000 Series V-Twin. 40 Hours on the filter. Oil would have been from my 'mix jug' which is the tail ends of whatever I use for the cars. Likely a bunch of Synthetic and HM Havoline, and then some Valvoline as I transitioned over to bay boxes. Nothing spectacular. Filter...

Came off the kids 2018 Jeep Compass 2.4. Sadly, I have no clue how many miles on it. I suspect she's been riding around with the change oil notice on for a while.....as in, the last time I logged an oil change was August 2023, but her and the wife swear I changed it in December. I don't keep...

Does Size Matter? Engine Displacement….How Low Can They Go?

And the Diahatsu Charade, mom had one. We put a pile of miles on that thing. She still owns it, although I think the oil filter mounting pad has given up the ghost and you can't buy the part to replace it without finding a good one in a junkyard.

What is this odd but neat style of subdivision house called exactly.

Around here they're just as if not more expensive than living a little further out in the country.

    2019 F150 - Owners Manual says 200K or 10 years for coolant - Reasonable?

True enough, But I'll probably still swap it out when I do the ICE circuit. I THINK the F150 uses an exhaust heat exchanger for warming up the battery pack in the winter. I've heard tales of them going bad on a regular basis, so I'll do what I can to prevent corrosion in mine.

2008 Acura TL battery drain problem, please let me know what you think the problem might be?

99% of the time it is the HFL/bluetooth module which as I recall is overhead. You can tell which one it is because the chips on it will be warm 24/7. Lives above the overhead console. I had my old one kicking around for a while, but I think it went in the trash or I'd take a picture of it.

    Pre cut window tint

Lol, I worked at a tint shop for about 8 years. I was the stereo installer. I watched the owner tint thousands of cars. What I learned? While I might, in theory, be able to get window tint applied to a flat piece of glass, car windows are rarely flat, and there's so much technique to it I'll...
