My son has a 21 Crosstrek 2.Slow with a CVT. It’s a fuel diluter too, gaining on the dipstick. But it’s been a really good car. Good economical and reliable transportation.
There are only two reasons to purchase a new truck: 1) it’s used for work and you can write most of it off, or 2) you have money to burn. The new warranty is a false leader….unless you’re going to use it for 10 yrs.
I got this idea from reading the fun Mexican Cars post. Let’s see photos of different cars and trucks from your part of the world. What are people driving Europe, Asia, Russia etc…?
I’d be curious to see how either oil performs using the Honda OLM. But the 5k OCI seems to be working well for you, regardless of the fuel dilution. Thanks for the interesting post.
Look at the numbers and mileage!! Keep doing exactly what you’ve been doing! Fuel dilution, although up there, doesn’t seem to be affecting the engine wear. I’m looking forward to hearing how it’s doing at 300k.
Looks good! I run my Honda Fit oil filter for two OCI’s. I also change my oil based on the OLM which is usually 8-10k. That filter could go another 7k easy. Thanks for posting
