    Kohler Command 23 fueling issues?

You hate them because you don't understand them and you don't want to take the time to learn how they work. That attitude is going to be a major hinderance to your ability to repair small engines.

    Surging Engine

A surging engine is usually always attributed to a lean condition. A lean condition occurs when there's a blockage in the carburetor. Carburetors get contaminated very easy. You must keep the fuel absolutely sterile.

Stihl carb adjustment tool won't fit

I have that same Stihl screwdriver and it fits my FS 91 R perfect. It fits the H and L screws. For the 3rd screw which is the idle speed screw, I use a Snap-on SDM211B. https://shop.snapon.com/product/Flat-Tip-(Bits,-Hex-Shank)/.031-x-.187"-Flat-Tip-1-4"-Hex-Shank-Bit/SDM211B

    Amsoil Saber advice please

80:1 seems to be a popular ratio for Amsoil Saber. That would be 4 ounces per every 2.5 gallons. https://www.lawnsite.com/threads/response-from-amsoil.522137/

Need Help with a Small Engine

Hopefully the 2024 pilot jet is not out there in circulation except on the factory assembly line. Perhaps Yamaha knows the 2019 pilot jet is the cure, but per EPA/CARB restrictions, can't tell the public.

I found a short video of the Stahlwille jet reamer set. I'll probably have to go that route because my jet is not removable. https://www.kctool.com/stahlwille-11085-jet-reamer-set/

Be careful of those torch tip cleaners; they're serrated and they will enlarge holes in soft metal like brass and aluminum. The idea is to remove the obstruction without enlarging the hole.

The screw that The_Eric is referring to is #7 on the drawing. Take it out with a straight slot screwdriver that fills the slot completely. You wouldn't be drilling it out. You would be reaming the hole with special jet reamers. Drill bits don't get the hole concentric. The 1st step now is to...

Need Help with a Small Engine

No adjustment screw for the idle jet is typical these days of emissions carbs. The EPA thinks that since not everyone is knowledgeable with how to adjust fuel / air mixture correctly, it'll ban the entire population from making adjustments whether the people know how or not. The idle jet is...
