    Post your Winter wheel/tire setup

Kumho WinterCraft Wi31+ on everything we own. Best wear and traction for the price I have seen in the last twenty years. Mounted and balanced these earlier this month for the Kona AWD. 215/65/16 on Elantra GT rims. Last set of Wi31+ lasted five years, 70,000km and still had 8/32", but I don't...

What are you using on OPE?

358cc and 318cc Tecumseh Snowking's get 0W30 Mobil. 173cc Tecumseh and GX160 Honda get 5W30 Full Synthetic (whatever brand I have open). And 170cc Briggs gets the leftover milk jug because I don't care because it's a Briggs. No filters on this lot.

    Post your latest oil change

Not in Canada. Valvoline provided no official timeline. Wanted it, so ordered through my broker in USA. Enough to service the eight vehicles I am entrusted care with that take 5W30 (for a couple of years). No drums available yet. Was exponentially more cost effective to broker and freight the...

Irish Spring Original. 40 years and counting. Good enough for my old man, good enough for another generation and forward.

how good is royal purple gear oil and syncromax?

Yes, a year later, yet still a relevant experience regarding the inquiry. Considering the rebuild and the break-in were done properly, I would make a strong assumption the fluid did not help. But then again, anything is possible, could be the first of over a hundred differentials that I built...

how good is royal purple gear oil and syncromax?

Well, royal purple helped me eat a 20,000km set of pinion gears in a complete rebuilt Toyota diff. Amsoil has my loyalty now. Changing out the RP from all t-cases and diffs that are in my care in the next couple of weeks. This is only my experience.

Powerful Magnetic Copper Bracelet For Pain

I just can't with this nonsense. All the education, knowledge, higher learning and evaluations trumped by internet and fake medicine. But hey, power of positive thinking never hurt anyone initially.

    Toyota 3.5 2GR-FE oil

Well if it solely for the purpose of a normal or extended interval and not related whatsoever to ticking in the 2GR-FE to quieten them down, then based on my experience owning serveral 2GR-FE powered AWD Venza's then I would stay with a normal interval and synthetic. I run 5W30 in the chilly...

    Toyota 3.5 2GR-FE oil

Basically asking the same question in multiple threads eh? Best thing you can do is replace the VVT screen filters, PCV, change your oil every 6,000km and use 5W30 full synthetic. If it is ticking so bad that it is causing you issue, then pull the heads and have them rebuilt.

    Over Tightened Canister Filter Cap

Had the same issue on a Toyota 2GRFE, got the engine nice and hot after a good drive then put a filter strap wrench on the housing and finally cracked the cap off. All is right with the world now.

    Sold my car to CarMax

I guess I should add to the reduction of my vehicle hoarding over the decades. My showroom condition '06 S65 AMG and '04 BKW Touareg have found new homes south of the border. Both sold in under five hours, buyer covers shipping and border fees, and all terms USD. Guess I should find a buyer for...

Cartridge Filters - Plastic Ends vs None?

Absolutely no issue using Fram Tough Guard and Ultra with the plastic end caps in the TG9972 and XG9972 sizes on a couple 2GR-FE's in our family. That being said, I have also used the 57047 Wix filter for the same application without issue. Doubt there are any issues if purchasing a reputable...
