My 6.6L GMC truck engine just counts down from 7,500 miles. Hot, cold, short trip, long trip, towing etc..... Doesn't matter.

If I bought one of these new, the first thing I would do, is hook it up a 9,000lb trailer. Then run the crap out of it and load it hard. That will seat the rings nicely.

Your LS will run just fine on a 50wt oil. Try HPL'S 10w50 racing oil

I had that same truck and engine. It stopped burning ALL oil when I started to run Castrol 0w40.

I've done the ....forget to put the drain plug back in routine. Good times.

The zinc and phosphorus seem low in this sample. That much moly does make me tingle a little inside though. 👀😑

Didn't know they had this. I've been using their supercar oil in all my small engines.

I will have to admit that direct injection seems like a step backwards. Way too dirty and restricts airflow on the intake valve. All your savings go out the window with earlier oil changes and fuel injection cleaners.

I think I may give HPL a call when my HST is due for a change. I know that will be high quality fluid.
