That's just it. It wasn't my first experience. We've been several times in the past and it was top notch. That's why last years show was so disappointing. Maybe they're having trouble staffing the event but thats pure speculation on my part.

Small engine air filter help needed.

How about just using a GY6 air filter??? Should be readily available.

No can do this year. We will be traveling during the time of this year's show. That said, ~$150 (3 tix at $48 each) is too steep a price for me to pay just to find out if it's a second year of disappointment.

What is the worst car you ever owned?

1978 Dodge Colt. 1979 Monte Carlo. Each the worst car I've every owned in their own unique way.

    $120 Carnauba wax, really?

The price he sets is irrelevant. He can ask any price he likes. It only becomes interesting when people start paying that price.

Is it even worth flying anymore, for the short term at least?

What a short sighted way to close off the world. TSA has always been accommodating in me experience. Treat them with respect and they typically do the same. And with TSA precheck, security is almost always a breeze. It's the people that act like morons and start yelling that have all the...

Oil weight observation and fuel economy

Automotive OEMs would give their eye teeth and first born if they could directly attribute a single step change in viscosity grade to ~4% change in fuel efficiency. I don't doubt that you experienced this change, however, you can't reasonably state that it was the viscosity grade difference...

Some automotive OEMs claim that burning 1 quart per thousand miles is normal so I don't think you are in trouble with less the 0.5qt/1k miles. Something worth considering though is that this vehicle has nearly 270k on the clock. There is a mindset that goes along the line that you've been doing...

So frustrated right now. Car troubles.

So then why is this making you mad? You knew exactly what you signed up for. Sounds like it's meeting expectations.

We went to the Night Under Fire last year. What a train wreck. Jet truck failed at the start line so no burning down the sign. Power cut to the east stands and pits multiple times during the event. Finally at about 930 power outage resulted in everybody leaving because it was getting dark. So...

The Fram TG now has a nitrile ADBV?

This doesn't even make sense. Those threads look great. And if they were nickel plated that would be an upgrade, here's why. You have done an excellent job of a self own. And to use the term 'sissy' when referring to threads just reinforces the self own. No reasonable technical justification...

    Oil Filter Recycling

Yes they take filters too. Never tried to give them one that was cut open but they'd likely accept it if it isn't mangled. And they might even accept mangled..... who knows?!? Best to go in and ask but I'll leave that homework to you.

    2 door sedans of '81

Ooh yeah! Those 265's actually made about 120hp. I had a '79 Monte Carlo with the 267 V8 with 125hp. What a pile of junk that thing was.
