Where was the Bosch made per the box? They have been changing to Mexico and the MX origin one I cut open was not as well made.

2016 Honda Civic with 375,000 miles, 1.5T engine - Reddit link

I thought we might be interested in this Reddit post/discussion. 2016 Honda Civic CVT with 1.5 turbo engine (fuel dilution candidate) with 375,000 miles. Seems to follow the Maintenance Minder intervals and whatever oil the dealer uses. Said they drive 4000 miles a month. Talk amongst...

    Brake question for the gurus

How did you grease the caliper slide pins? What grease did you use? Why did you replace them? Did you put the correct caliper slide pin in the correct location? They are different.

New 5000 Watt Enclosed Dual-Fuel Inverter Generator at Harbor Freight

Look at Wen and AiPower before you buy the HF. Same manufacturer without the HF markup, they have lost their value. Way better warranties thatn HF also.

Need advice; bringing a car out of storage after a few years

If it has a lot of fuel in it I would pump all the old fuel out - good excuse to buy a GasTapper https://a.co/d/7Bs9xxm Then refill with fresh and add Techron Marine fuel system cleaner.

What would cause inconsistent oil consumption?

How are you checking the oil level? Consistent same flat level location? Consistent engine temperature?

    2011 Honda Odyssey, 210k miles, 9800 mile UOA, Mobil1 High Mileage 0w20

Here are photos inside the front valve cover area I took today with a borescope, went in through the fill port. The oil has about 1000 miles on it now. Hopefully you can recognize some things inside - valve springs, rocker arms, cam shaft.

    2011 Honda Odyssey, 210k miles, 9800 mile UOA, Mobil1 High Mileage 0w20

Vcm disabled at 170k miles when I started noticing oil consumption. For the OCI, I have followed the Maint Minder but I usually go 500 to 1000 miles past by the time I actually get it changed. I will try to remember to get a photo for you.

    Small Brake Rant

The Odys (and Pilots and Ridgelines) are hard on front rotors especially, probably a little too small rotor for a heavy vehicle driven a lot of times by hard-driving Mommas. I have had decent results from Honda pads on our 3 Honda vans/suvs. They changed the rotor design but surely a 2015 has...

Any in store options for UOA service?

You can pay online and they match up the payment with your address on your sample slip. Works fine for me. They will mail you a sample kit for free or when you pre-pay online. https://www.blackstone-labs.com/product/oil-sample/

Service life of Honda 5AT transmission?

We have a 2006 Pilot with 5 speed AT with 268k miles, shifts better than our 11 Odys with 210k miles. Honda fluid only the whole time, followed Maint Minder until 200k, then tried to do a drain a fill every other oil change (15k miles?).

    2012 Honda Odyssey 20,038 oci. 244,452 mi. m1 0w40

That makes sense on the 0w40. Amazed on the orginal spark plugs making it 200k. Does it have to pass emissions/smog/inspection? Ours has had a CEL for P0420 since like 120k miles but we dont have emissions testing.

    2012 Honda Odyssey 20,038 oci. 244,452 mi. m1 0w40

Thanks for posting, interesting to me owning a 11 Ody with 211k miles. Why using the 0w40 instead of 0w20 Honda spec oil? Just noticed the 2 quarts burned per OCI…How many spark plugs does he get per oil change? Being funny, but wondering given this engines reputation for fouling plugs without...
