Any if you have knee problems?

At my age and health, that’s one of the few things that isn’t bothering me… yet.🤞

Old Toyota Land Cruiser in parking lot

I’m kicking myself for not snapping a photo of a beautifully restored ’63 Impala at the donut shop this morning. It was absolutely flawless! 🥹

How old is too old for stored oil??

Last year, while doing some home cleaning, I came across a quart of Arco Graphite. It’s from the early 70s and I have no idea how it kept getting overlooked. I remember changing the oil in my ‘67 Ford Fairlane. 👴

Do hybrids last as long as naturally aspirated engine and do they make sense?

I thought about a hybrid, but decided against it due to cost. Essentially, I’d be paying for two different tune-ups and services. 💸

    RIP Pete Rose

I was never really into baseball, but I did attend a celebrity game with my dad. Nat King Cole, Dean Martin, Don Rickles, Mickey Rooney and a few others played. Later in life, I got to know of Pete Rose, though I never followed his career closely. Like most people, I remember the scandal, but...

    Downside of android

I’ve been using Apple products since 1983, and I gave Android a try with the Samsung Tab Ultra. While I appreciated the large display, I couldn’t get past its shortcomings compared to my iPad M2. That said, I’ll admit Apple isn’t the company it once was—its software quality and innovation have...

Why do they still use the rubber undercoating on cars?

It’s my 2017 Chevrolet SS Sedan with an LS3…

Why do they still use the rubber undercoating on cars?

Well, it’s not rubberized, but it is a water-based soundproofing material from ‘Second Skin.’ I had it applied within two months of getting it new, and I think it’s only been in the rain for about an hour since 2017. 🤷‍♂️

Consumer Reports not happy with Tesla Delivery experience

That experience would definitely turn me off. Fortunately, I don't think I'd ever face that issue since I could never afford a $100K car anyway. I remember the first car I financed was a 1972 Dodge Dart with a 225 slant six. I've financed cars ever since, but recently I paid off my car loan. It...

Feeling Underwhelmed and Disappointed with Apples 2024/25 Product Launch

I'm still using an iPhone 12 Max, and it meets all my needs. I remember when I used to upgrade every year or two, but with the current state of the economy, I'm not motivated to upgrade anything. 😞

I'd like an inexpensive computer for my neighbor

I got roped into helping my girlfriend who wanted to buy a computer for her friend. She assumed I could handle it, so it ended up on my plate. What started as an inexpensive PC turned into a $1000 purchase after adding a service agreement because her friend couldn't manage it on her own. 🙄

GMC Sierra EV deliveries to customers began this week

I vividly remember my first two cars coming with a full tank from dealerships in San Diego County. My first financed car was a '72 Dodge Dart with a 225 slant six, followed by a '74 Dodge Dart with a 318. Those were the days, and I'd love to go back. 🥹

    I lost my father today

I'm truly sorry to hear that, and I can relate. My father and brother faced similar situations because they didn't follow their doctor's advice. Now that I'm in the fourth quarter of life, I give thanks every day for making it this far. 🥹

    I don’t need no stink’n truck!

Is this party open to everyone? I don’t have a pass-through so I had to come up with a Plan B. 🤗

Waffle and Pancake Shoppe- finally figured out why lines out the door seven days a week.

I love waffles, and I'd definitely visit this place if it were nearby. It's tough to find a place that serves waffles around here these days. 🤷‍♂️

Happy Birthday! 🎂 I just had one a month ago, but the number were considerably higher. 😒

What are you working on today?

We're doing a major remodel on the kitchen and dining room. The builder arrives on Monday to start the demolition, so I've been busy clearing everything out with the help of some young neighbor kids. The goal is to make life a bit easier given my physical impairments.

    Five Euro Car Myths?

When I was stationed in Europe, I bought a used 1979 BMW 732i and it never gave me any trouble. During my time there, I also drove a Euro-spec Ford Escort, which was quite different from the U.S. version. The suspension was superior, and the power was impressive for its size. However, I didn't...

    Disabled Fake Engine Sound

I'm a fake engine sound owner too. I drive a 2017 Chevy SS sedan with the 6.2 LS3 engine. When I first got it, I planned to remove the sound tube, but over time, I've actually grown to live with it. Unlike those high-pitched, smaller engines, this V8's sound isn't far from the real deal. It adds...

DIY auto repair means not having to deal with obnoxious auto repair shop prices

I wish I could do my own work, but my physical impairment and age make it difficult. The best I can do is rely on a boutique shop I trust. At least it's a small shop where the owner's reputation is on the line, so they tend to do decent work. 🤷‍♂️
