    Septic tanks treatments

I'm more curious how your field becomes that saturated. How may feet of lines do you have?

Some help with odd brake problem...

Thank you! The issue is certainly isolated to that brake, so that makes sense. I will give it a go. It looks like something I can easily do.

Some help with odd brake problem...

Hyundai Wondering if someone has an idea for this. Front calipers were old. This spring, I noticed that on the first few warm days my front driver's side caliper would stick shut and retract slowly over 5-10 seconds. When it got cold (40s-50s) again the problem went away. I finally got...

    Hot weather coming

They shifted the color matrix by 20 degrees. I'm going to guess they do it all the time by seasons. Just real noticeable when it's one day to the next.

Traffic controls / red light cams

Right turns generate 90% of the violations. The standard I am familiar with is that you will be cited if the reviewer can show you behind the stop line AND the light red. To me, that's very late and is a fair judgment as to whether you committed a violation. As for Chicago, everyone is aware...

Average Vehicle age now 12.6 years old

43 years into 3 cars. No plans to swap any of them out. Just did the front brakes on the Sonata today as it's going another 50k easy.

    Sumitomo tires

Owned two sets. One performed normal. Snow traction was fine, never hydroplaned, and wear was probably around normal. Had another set that were the loudest tires I've ever owned. Couldn't wait to get rid of them. It's too general a question.

    Sub Inflation

Finally, proof for the 5K mile oil change, or something to laugh at/BITOG fodder

LOL. I guess I'm "old school" now with my 10k OCI's. (With great results in analysis).

Are you normally a new or used vehicle buyer?

I've probably owned a dozen vehicles or more. Only one was purchased new. Not my thing.

    Bluetooth FM Transmitter

I have one for my work vehicle as it does not have Bluetooth. It set up in 2 minutes and works great. Sound quality is good. People complain when I try to use it as a phone, so it's not perfect. But I have access to so many sources of entertainment now. Before I bought it, I had to listed...

Magazine's prediction on prices from 30 years ago appear to be off (tongue in cheek)

Pretty accurate. "Basic car" was off, but the other two could be close. That $12.5k is a week at Disney for a family of four.

    3k vs 5k Synthetic OCI

Gosh. Even if I was obsessive about it, I wouldn't even think about changing oil until I saw 5k miles.

post your latest transmission lubricant change.

Drain and fill ATF for the Edge at 60K with Amsoil OE FE ATF. This is the third D-F (every 20k). Fluid came out pretty cloudy and brown, which was a bit surprising. I might have to move the next service up a bit.

A lot of weird things going on with this. I'm staying away.

    Anyone still into MLB?

Of course! Get the MLB.tv package every year and try to watch one or two (half of each) games a night. Some much going on just this weekend. And we still get six months of this. Going to Mariners/Brewers Friday.

Yeah, this looks normal to me.

The truth about oil change intervals and analysis

"The number one thing affecting the oil is the fuel" (7:05). I guess we don't need these BITOG OCI threads any more. ;) (Short attention span) This is all I need to know. Thanks. Maybe I'll finish it up another day.
