Here we have a jet pump in the cellar with the jet in the well, a 3/4 HP Goulds. The well is 150 feet deep with the jet at 100 feet with a 50 foot tail pipe, the most water can be pulled is 27 feet. Pushed is determined by the power of the pump.

Those of us who can actually determine a change in looks or odor of the engine oil will prefer to have a dipstick with or without digital monitoring. Same reason we had a trans dipstick installed on the 6 speed in the 77 in my sig.

The concern here is that offsetting the seals could end up with a gap then leak however no one here so far has had a problem. If I ever do another rebuild I`ll flush mount the seals.

82 here and finding challenges with most all repairs. Presently straitening a bent prop shaft for the brushhog. Fortunately have a hydraulic press for the bend but the twist is kicking my butt.

Have a 1984 Morflo Nautilus wet base tank here that is on a well with neutral PH. The minerals have formed a crust that gurgles when the burner is on. On borrowed time which will force decisions as codes have changed.

What we have here is a rabbit hole, if the engine is running then it just run it with some cheapo 20/50 until the next problem, rabbit hole defeated.

There may be two problems with the OP`s WH, one, the vent looks like it back drafted from the looks of the escutcheons [collars] that have melted and signs of condensation on the draft diverter. two, as to the T&P leaking if the new tank has no problem then great. Mineralization in the tank...
