I dump in 5, which puts it in the middle. I will only add to bring it back to the middle if needed, maybe 3/4 up max. That is my safety for expansion or rise due to fuel dilution.

That’s the filter I am running on ‘20 CX5 for 1 year/7500 miles with Amsoil 0w-20 sig.series. No issues, seems like quality.

How many hours labor and parts cost to do the belt? Is is a doable job for the average car guy in the driveway, that is used to doing routine maintenance and repairs? If similar to a timing belt job, shouldn’t be more than a inconvenience.

- compression check or cylinder balance test - possibly counterfeit spark plugs that failed or a failing coil (more unlikely) - run a quality fuel system cleaner through the system (Redline S1, BG44K, etc.), maybe a restricted/clogged injector did this come on gradually or all of a sudden?

a shorter fatter version? that is not ecore? odd, unless there has been an update for that engine

My Mazda has this recommendation: The recommended tire pressure for a 2020 Mazda CX-5 is 34 pounds per square inch (psi) for 17-inch wheels and 36 psi for 19-inch wheels.

lower profile tires require higher pressure this is because there are less interior square inches that the pressure can act upon when you have less sidewall

0w’s are fine, but built with more VII, and thinner base stock, the oil is more likely to shear out of grade as the VII break down. Also higher % of VII, means less % of the other ingredients (base oil) that is important to lubrication. So 0w’s are a trade off.

My 4Runner gets 17 mpg around town. Maybe the new ones 2025+ will be slightly better?

If the engine/trans. is moving an excessive amount (while accelerating or engine braking, or even coasting) where the alignment of the axle shafts is out of whack due to bad mounts that can put extra stress on CV joints and also cause vibration by maxing out the allowable angle of the CV joint.

Some guesses: motor mounts (rear) torque convertor shutter axle shafts

I have been using quart bottles with the pump for years. I get a pump from Amazon and have it dedicated, keep in zip lock when not in use. The pouches are a neat idea, but my old methods never let me down. I also put on a longer clear vinyl hose for some of the needed applications that I think...
