House flooded then Tesla burns it to the ground.

I bet when the insurance companies get tired of paying claims for self incinerating cars, they will just increase their rates so only the rich can afford an electric car and insurance. Or push for laws restricting their usage. and have special parking requirements. This way insurance companies...

    One Piece Garage Door Broken

You could try to remove the entire broken bracket, take it to a welding shop and either have them weld it back together, or fab a new bracket.,,

78 XS750 with excessive oil burning and lower compression in center cyl.

Years ago I got a 6 cyl mercury outboard motor unstuck, using liquid wrench. I bought a 1/2 gallon of it , poured in in the plug holes and let it sit. Once a day for a week, I would tap the flywheel a few times in each direction. Then One day it turned .I got it to run,I was happy until I saw...

Post Your Latest (Motorcycle) Oil Change!

I changed my engine oil about 500 miles ago with Castrol 20/50 wt oil, and a Harley filter. The oil says it can be used in Harleys. About a month ago, I had the local wrench remove the inner and outer primary to replace the seals which were leaking. He put Harleys primary and trans oil back in...

Winterization...to drain or not to drain?

I don't let my bike sit for long periods of time during the winter. And I always hit it with a dose of fuel injector cleaner and a splash of Marvel mystery oil, when I ride it the most. And I do the same in winter months. But I also run a tank or two thru it every month to keep the gas fresh...

Why does a $62,000 2025 Ram 1500 NOT have passive keyless entry?

I have 2 Chevys, a '11 Equinox and a '21 Traverse. With both of them you need to fish the fobs out of your pocket to unlock the doors with the buttons. The Equinox has the flat key you need to stickin the dash, which seemed weird to me at first, but I'm used to it now. And with the traverse, it...

    Pirelli ST tire experience

When I bought my bike over a year ago, it had Pirelli Night Dragon tires on it. I loved them, but couldn't find any place to buy them. The tires that came on the bike were over 10 years old, that's the only reason I got new tires. I'm not sure if they're still in production.,,

Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner needed if Costco gas is used often

I agree that if you use regular nothing special gas on a regular basis, there's no benefit in using a fuel injector or carb additive. But if you have a car or truck that sits more than it's used, or only gets filled up every couple of month's, using a cleaner wouldn't hurt. When I fill up my gas...

    Engine Types and Oil Specs

Back in 1976, I bought a brand new Honda gl 1000 goldwing. The manual for that engine said to use a good API rated oil in it. There was no Jaso ratings at that time. It ran fine on that rated oil I used in it. Every air cooled bike I've ever owned called for 10w40, or 20w50 wt oil. The last...

Anybody have luck with Speedbleeder brand one way check valves for bleeding brakes?

I bought a set of them for my Harley years ago. I put them in, and they worked as advertised. Made bleeding the air out alot easier when doing it by yourself. I only used them to bleed the brakes once. I don't know,, or can't say if I tried it 5 years later if they would still work as intended.,,

How much better are engine oils that far exceed API ratings?

I only buy oil from my local Dollar Store. Their no- brand half qt's say they are the best oil out there, and I believe them. They couldn't say it if it wasn't true.,,,

What is a good dry chain lube for oring chain - even though owners manual says no

The Hayabusa was in production before the term "Sport touring bike" was coined. And If you think isn't a track bike, please tell me where in the US there's a speed limit where it can't exceed it by 100mph ?. There's no need for a touring bike to go anywhere near that fast. I don't have any...

    Where is Yamaha's Classic Cruisers?

My guess is they stop making bikes they can't sell, in the numbers they need to to make it profitable. And some bikes just sell better in certain parts of the country, than other parts. I bought a Kawasaki Voyager a few years back, and it was rare for me to see another one on the road. They are...

    Ural OCI

It depends on if your going to rack up miles quickly, or over say a years time. leaving the bike as you got it would probably be fine. I read somewhere the Ural makes a deeper oil pan for the engine which would give it a 4 qt capacity. You didn't say what year your bike is, but being you said...

What is a good dry chain lube for oring chain - even though owners manual says no

Exactly. Cheaper bikes, cheap sport bikes and cheap dirt bikes. Anything that people perceive as a "Great Value", but requires alot of maintenance. Hayabusa's aren't really considered normal road bikes. They are really track bikes that meet the minimum requirements to be allowed on the road...

Why are outdoor power equipment engines so loud?

I cut 3 lawns about every 3 weeks with gas ope. I wear a pair of ear muffs when doin them, so it's no big deal to me. And when the neighbors have their lawn service guys cutting grass, it's still no big deal to me. If I had to listen to it everyday from morning to night, then it probably would...

What is a good dry chain lube for oring chain - even though owners manual says no

I bet I haven't owned anything with a chain drive on it in 40 years. In the motorcycle world it's only cheaper made small bikes, and scooters that still have them. The rest are belts and shaft drives. My snow blower still uses a chain in the drive line, but that's about it. I've never lubed it...

2011 Camry, a little surprised, slightly disappointed.

I don't get all the praise about how reliable toyota's are, when my experience with them is the same as yours. And with Fords also. I don't know what people use as a gauge of how reliable a car is, maybe they just don't remember that they had to fix them every now and then.,,
