12pk Liqui Moly Motor Saver on Amazon

Where do you get that Lucas is 110cSt@ 100*C? Lucas’s own documentation says 44cSt.

12pk Liqui Moly Motor Saver on Amazon

“Proven” how? Which manufacturers approve this additive for use in their vehicles? Has it passed any objective quality tests or manufacturer certifications/approvals? I will bet, because I did the research, the answer is NO. I never said it was as thick as Lucas, I said it performed the same...

12pk Liqui Moly Motor Saver on Amazon

I’m the one with no clue about it? LM says Motor Oil Saver is ~134cSt @ 40*C (and LM uses “paste like” in the descriptor!) which is exactly twice as thick as Motul EcoLite 5w30 at ~67cSt. Motul 4100 Power 15w50, on the other hand, is only slightly thicker, at ~155cSt @ 40*C. PDSs are below...

Don’t bother. If it wasn’t important the first time they touched your sample, simply never send them anymore of your money.

12pk Liqui Moly Motor Saver on Amazon

It’s a German version of Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer. Its only purpose is to dilute perfectly good motor oils and give people a false sense of security for their choice of delaying corrective maintenance by just fixing the oil leak. Why do real work when you can just dump something in the...

    0W-20 or 5W-30 for a Plug-in Hybrid (Subaru)

How can the grade be required but viscosity is not? Viscosity is how grades are determined, yes? Any virgin oil with a viscosity between the lower and upper specs of a grade meet the definition of that grade, because of the viscosity. If grade was required, not recommended, so are the virgin...

OIl Grade Suggestion for 300k 6.0L Chevy..

Not all esters clean. POE, Redline’s claim to fame, is a notoriously poor cleaner. You need the correct esters, and alkylated napthalenes help. OP could run a couple quarts of HPL EC (which are the correct esters but no ANs) to see if there’s stuff to be cleaned. OP should do max 5k filter...

    1998 Mustang GT 4.6l Automatic 200k miles

Did you rely on the taste, smell, or slipperiness to tell the difference so definitively? Do tell how you can determine these properties without knowing what raw materials and add packs were used.

    0W-20 or 5W-30 for a Plug-in Hybrid (Subaru)

What is a PDS going to tell you that the oil’s certifications and approvals won’t? Besides, a PDS is not absolute; read the fine print and somewhere, it almost assuredly says something to the effect of : “Typical properties. Some variation will occur between batches.” That means the piece of...

4.7l dodge sounds like a diesel after synthetic oil change.

That’s quite often how folks end up at the doctor as well… business as usual isn’t a good thing when the habits are bad…

    SuperLube oil pen

I always use the aerosol versions and just stick a paper towel behind it to avoid overspray. Avoid the pens.

Korean Parents try Chicago Hot dogs and Italian Beef for the First Time

Bet you don’t miss the Chicago neighborhoods that they usually require to find one… I know I don’t miss the Chiraqi suburbs now that I’ve been gone for awhile. I much prefer never having to be there again… it’s insanity.

Analysis: PEA in different cleaners (Techron, Archoil, Oilsyn, Pro-Tec)

Man, if this had been applied on my 75w90 thread for gear oils I’d have had coffee for a looooong time…

what signals a need to change ATF?

What van? If it’s got one of Ford’s 6F35 or 8F35, it may be that the fuzzy logic needs a recalibration. You can do that with ForScan and a laptop, some aftermarket tuners, or the good ol’ disconnect both battery terminals for a half hour, depending on the year. More info please. But new fluid...

Engine Oil choices at a Ukrainian version of American Lowe’s

That’s because it didn’t have anything to do with the store. Has to do with information and evidence that diverge in the story they tell. Can’t go into more than that on the board because those topics aren’t allowed.

Engine Oil choices at a Ukrainian version of American Lowe’s

Right? I feel like, somewhere along the way, a lot of lies are being told. The only shelves I’ve ever seen stocked with a finer array of oils is in Manteno, IL, but I haven’t seen your storage… 😉
