Can I replace the TPMS sensors on these tires with my old machine?

I like the RA magnets on the fridge/freezer. We have them on our garage freezer, but don't have nearly as many.

    Stock Junkyard Radio - "Locked"

This is a correct, but there is a work around for testing. If you disconnect the battery, and then hook it back up, you can turn the ignition to the "ACC" and test the stereo function. The serial bus does not perform the VIN check in the "ACC" position. Once you turn the ignition to "ON" it...

GM extends Dexcool limit to 6 years

It can't be a failure if it is maintenance in the owner's manual. GM was always shockingly slow to figure this one out, IMHO.

Under the valve cover 2005 Buick 3800.

GM went to 5W30 clear back in '86, IIRC. I have assumed the 3300/3800 V6s were an anomaly because of the gearotor oil pump they started using with the redesign of the Buick V6 for 1988. They did eventually get spec'd to 5W30.

    Your Biggest Retirement Regret?

I am 14 months retired / disabled after my 4th spinal surgery (all but one level fused both cervical and lumbar). I can walk with a brace as my right calf is severely atrophied and cold below the knee from the nerve damage. I was making good money and worked with some great guys. I don't miss...

Best oil filter for Hyundai - OEM or another?

IIRC, Hyundai marketed filters have the box shown, while Kia marketed filters are the plain brown. Same filter inside.

Oil filters at Walmart are getting expensive

I noticed the AC-Delco PF63s were over $9 at WalMart yesterday. They under $9 at the local GMC/Kia dealer. The AC-Delco section is greatly reduced and the Hyundai/Kia branded filters were gone. Did see one Suburu and a Toyota branded filter.

If this ad is legit, How much would this 1986 Cutlass really be worth?

It's an Olds 307 V8 with a 200R4 (3 speed w/OD) automatic. Far superior to the base Buick 3.8 and 3 speed automatic.

1990 Buick tail lights stay on

These use the 5 terminal, adjustable brake switch used across many car lines. While this circuit is hot all the time, the switch does open and close power, not ground, IIRC. This body style ('89-'96) never got a BCM and has only about 7 relays max under the hood (the square, Bosch style) on the...

Detergent or Non Detergent oil? 1954 Chevy 235 inline-6

While you can check it, aren't all passenger car 235s hydraulic lifters in '54? Can't remember if it was still PowerGlide only.

    High Oil level Issues!

The idiots at the selling dealer overfilled my 2019 6.2L Yukon too. I can only get about 7.5 quarts (with PF63 filter) in it to the full mark when I change it.

    hyundai dealership experience.

I got numerous letters over that one too. Bought the recall kit off Amazon and installed it myself. Not sure how my local Ford dealer is, but it wasn't worth the trouble for me to drive a 7mpg F53 motorhome to them. I understand they typically didn't even install the new brake/CC switch from the...

    RV Repairs

I remember my Grandparents finding a 'do not drive' notice on their coach (Class A) at an RV event. MORryde had techs fixing on site fixing a suspension defect on the spot.

My '63 Chevy truck - 230 ci engine replacement pending

Yes, and all hydraulic lifters in this series too, along with 7 main bearings. To the OP, since you mentioned a head issue with your 250, is it an integral head? They were so trouble prone with cracking, but I suspect they flow better than the non-integral head. I've got a 292.

Adding ATF to a 10 spd "Allison" branded GM trans in a late model GM truck

I have the 10 speed with the 6.2L gas engine. I have assumed the hole is not in the case (tiny dipstick, like the Ford variant), though it is obscured by a shield on the GM version. I've thought what these need is the dipstick added to the side of the pan, like GM did with the Corvair Powerglide...

Horn wouldn't stop today,unplugged..what to do?

Those particular air bags develop this problem with age, as the rubber/vinyl material shrinks with age. It usually starts intermittently. I've seen write ups on disassembling the cover and providing a remedy, though making a separate horn button would be a common fix.

98 LeSabre 162k miles, replace timing chain?

The FWD 3.8 (and 3.0) V6 had the miserable nylon coated cam gear. This went away with all the improvements when it became a 3800 (and 3300) V6. The tensioner does a pretty good job controller the slop/wear. You can't really tell anything rocking the crank back and forth because of it. My...
