I do two 6000-7500 mile oil changes on one filter...I put 20K miles per year, so time wise it works out to approx every 9 months.

Both of my current vehicles simply give a recommended viscosity and must have the API starburst symbol, So I basically buy what is on sale, actually clearance, and go with it.

Actually on my 2016 Honda Accord 2.4l GDI I am quite surprised on how clear the oil looks on the dipstick when I change it at 6000 - 7000 miles, relative to other vehicles I have owned over the years. Now my Honda CRV with the 1.5l GDI Turbo...is black and smells terrible, after like 500...

OP, Is the piece where the clear coat is pealing plastic or metal? I have a plastic front bumper doing the same thing on a 2016. so I can lightly sand the clear off and reapply? Seems like the paint underneath would get scratched???

Thanks all, great input! Sounds like my Audi experience...great performance, handling, etc but the depreciation and maintenance will kill you. Maybe there are some sort of aftermarket wedges or seat covers with lumbar support available???
