Yes, I Agree…the Ultra looks like a great filter though, just asking if it’s worth it. I change the filter every other oil change…plus the filter is rated for 20K mikes.

Yeah, the OLM doesn’t work for me on my 2016 Accord. At 7500 miles the thing still reads 50% oil life left. Granted in am all rural driving, 10 miles to the closed town (next town 25mi), 45-55mph speeds…but still?

Fram Ultras look like a nice filter… but a real PITA to deal with!!! Not enough room to get my hand on it to take it off, or use a “conventional” filter wrench. Reason I mentioned it, is that I was on a Lexus RX 350 forum a few months ago and there were some folks complaining about a noise related to the tranny/exhaust system…it was the 8-speed, but believe the noise was due to a “harmonic” vibration from the exhaust pipes?

I believe the 8 speed is the tranny built by Aisin…

A couple things, 1) You never know, previous owner could have went to a quick oil change place and not documented it. 2) Or, You said 30k kilometers, which is slightly less than 20k miles…I did once per year (20k miles) on a 2005 Honda Accord for many years…higher end oils and filters, but...

Interesting, I believe both motors simply recommend a synthetic oil varying the starburst symbol…just about everything does? And, the Acura would recommend premium gas.

Have the 10 speed in an 2021 Acura and like it…this and seat comfort swayed us from the Lexus. The Lexus seemed indecisive…always seemed to want to upshift?

Same for us, Spending $50K, plus bidding war for a Kia didn’t make sense...same price as Acura and Lexus, and not sure how resale values are on a Kia. We looked at the Lexus RX-350 and the Acura RXL and ended up with the RXL. Sticker was 49.7K and paid $42.5K.
