    Best battery cable connector protector?

Silicone is really the best application for the terminals, but I used to use grease when I was younger and I never had an issue. But, silicone grease is a good thing to have around the garage.

Questions regarding a weeping valve cover gasket

Even my 02 Taurus V-6 requires you to remove the intake manifold to get to the rear bank valve cover.. I know its leaking, it drips on the exhaust and stinks up the car sometimes. I ignore it and top off my oil as needed. Switching to M1 0w-40 for giggles, I've some leftovers laying around. I'm...

How did this car get here?

I thought it had the window sticker too. Maybe a transport guy than. I knew a kid that transported cars for Porsche, trooper got him going 145 on the thruway. Fired..

How did this car get here?

With the paper still in the window, I'm guessing it was a take home car for like the business manager or something. Drunk, ran, ditched off main route. Picked up by friend, reported stolen.. I've actually know of a similar incident that happened here, same situation, guy passed out in someone's...

Probably stolen, and they couldn't drive, or someone at the dealership took it home and damaged it, dumped it, and reported it stolen.

Ageing of Trailer tires, Goodyear Endurance.

I think your 3-4 year method is good practice. I'm one of those guys that try to mitigate risks any way I can. I'm sure those tires would last longer without an issue, but why take any chances to find out..

    New Tire Age

If you like to have your tires as new as possible? Your money, your choice. At least he actually apologized and is solving the issue for you. The only drawback is your extra time you're now going to loose there. I would not trust the rep at all next time, verify your dates before installation...

You thought a good idea but not so much…

Wednesday I took some Miralax (powdered laxative) for its intended purpose.. I remembered using it 20 years ago, so I just filled the cap right up.. Well, the actual dosage was half the cap to a marked line. I double dosed myself.. I spent a total time of an hour in the BR yesterday, running in...

How to remove this rusty diff fluid fill plug?

I would have brushed the rust off around the plug, hit it with brake cleaner a couple times and used my 50/50 acetone and trans oil mix. Apply wait a few, brake cleaner agar followed by mix a few times. Let the mix soak overnight, brake cleaner and try to remove. Still tight, heat.

What do you use to get.....

TSP, Trisodium phosphate mixed water to a paste, soak stain for over 30 mins, throw in washer and add more TSP in and wash. Just make sure you do an extra rinse cycle to get any traces of the TSP out of the item It doesn't get every trace of it off, there can be a very light trace of it left...

    Brembo Calipers

I'm guessing the install for the Brembo calipers would involve some modification to fit. That's the rub. Having brembo calipers and pads would probably produce a better pedal feel, but why? Spend some money on aftermarket performance pads (do your research on them) if you have an itch you need...

    Dealer Tactic

If I was selling a used car right now, the price would be set to each and every premium feature and package I could use to squeeze any extra dollar out of the buyer. Limited supply of new - used cars right now. If you have a rare model in this climate, you put the price on. Or maybe not, who...

    Cost for full brake job?

Bro, you just talked about indexing a rotor on a hub.. I never even would have thought of that.. You without a doubt, have taught me something.

    Cost for full brake job?

My machinist at work used to brought in his rotors for both his autos to check the runout and machine them.. He's a bit anal but they were kind of iffy.
