    Overfilling a differential.

Yes, I used my mighty vac with a flexible rubber hose attached to get into a differential without a drain plug. Grab some beers and invite a friend over!

    Overfilling a differential.

Have you been able to get a FSM for the unit? I'm guessing you have to remove some rock guards to get to it? Maybe even drop the unit?

Before draining old oil, first add an additive?

Same for a redneck engineer I knew, well he was actually an engineer. Drain, fill up diesel, run for a bit, dump and fill. He did get high mileage out his autos though..

    Engine Mounts/Motor Mounts ?

You're the type of tech that validates the stereotype. Don't you have any pride?

    Craftsman pressure washer/ Briggs engine

Mighty Vac is easiest, tipping that sucker over is OK too. "lifetime fill" 😂 I'm guessing the engine or pump will fail before the OE fill engine oil becomes an issue.

    Electric die grinder ?

I used one of these at work, motor is very far away so your face isn't being power blasted with crap. https://www.foredom.net/ Expensive but sometimes easier and cheaper to use over time. Edit: to add there are much cheaper hanging motor grinder systems out there, but I'm guessing a few are...

    Intermittent high idle issue

Every one of the 02-05 older 3.0 ohv's high mileage motors I've seen there has been either elbow issues, original plugged PCV valves at 150k, or sometimes leaks in the stiff plastic colored emissions control lines. I avoid like the plague touching them, but you have to for the intake manifold...

Is this a starting or run capacitor

So does the PCM have one wire with differing voltage outputs? Two wires with differing voltages?

Is this a starting or run capacitor

EGT sensor tells PCM temp, PCM puts out voltage signal to power a relay, that selects 4 different conditions per input voltage?

Deere's remote shutdown capability finally comes in handy

Looks like the max distance the newest tank haulers can go is 500 miles on a full tank of fuel. Do we think the Russians involved were ordered to get them there as gifts for Chechnya, storage for use in Russia, or a personal gain by a higher up command?

Deere's remote shutdown capability finally comes in handy

I've also wondered why the Russians haven't booby trapped their abandoned vehicles? That would be effective until the word got out.

Deere's remote shutdown capability finally comes in handy

How the hell did they get the fuel for that long journey? They on average hold 300 of fuel, and use 15 gallons per mile. That means 20 miles on one tank of fuel. That means 20 refills to go 700 miles. I'm gonna call the distance traveled as BS. They probably are running low on fuel themselves..

    What makes belts disintegrate?

Those do look like they tension on them could be out of spec. If you want to get precise check the alignment of the pulleys some how. How rough are the stop start cycles of the machine, or is the cutting system always running with the engine on.. Never used one. When my garden tractors deck...

does anything in oil ever separate or settle out if oil sits for a long time?

One of my machinists used a paint shaker to mix up a 15 y/o bottle of cutting oil, that was about a 5 quart round bottle. He had an audience because he asked everyone if they thought is operated slow enough to mix the oil adequately. Well, he put it in the clamps and turned it on. The plastic...

Is this a starting or run capacitor

Think I answered my own question.. The resistor is used to control the speed of the cooling fan. 2 separate circuits, one uses the resistor to keep the fan operating at a lower speed. The based on the engine temp sensors data, a circuit without a resistor is used to power the fan at an increased...

    Housing...It's more than inflation...

So I thought at one point during the Covid that FL was gaining population from NYC? Has the increase in population leveled out?

    Dry Oil Filter

I'd more likely to believe that the bypass valve malfunctioned initially or at some time during usage. Can you molest the valve to make it drain the oil? Into a clear clean open pan like an milk jug cut in half? That way if it was clogged you would probably test the oil for grit or metal...

Is this a starting or run capacitor

So is that resistor meant to increase the amperage to the fans? Is it true that some cooling fans can use 40 amps? I literally took electricity 1-3 in collage 10 years ago.. I can't remember anything about current and resistors, its sad really. Use it or lose it..

Is this a starting or run capacitor

Its a starting capacitor, the fans can draw up to 40 amps!! That's a lot more than I would have ever expected.
