NASCRASH is a totally lame racing format IMHO…Amazing how many people watch it just hoping for a crash…and NASCAR officials manage the races "artificially" with their silly yellow flags out to bunch up the field…All the better for crashin' when they can get the cars closer together!…TUSCC...
I ran Redline 10w40 in my 964 cup and did indeed notice lower oil temps. I race a 996 cup now and have run M1 0w40, Millers 5w40 and Redline 5w40…ran the same oil temps with each….UOA's were similar but I do not have a long series of them to do a detailed comparison so they are just for...
Dodge builds a tough truck, name a truck manufacturer that hasn't had an issue occasionally….My 6.0 Ford never smelled but it sure did "stink" as far as trucks go!
I just bought a 2013 Duramax in March…changed the oil/filter at 2000 miles…OLM says 40% left at 8000 total miles, 6000 on this current fill. Truck is usually towing or doing highway miles. I plan to follow the OLM, we'll see how it looks in 10-12 years!
My 2007 Audi A3 3.2 with PDK is the single best car I have ever owned…FAst, comfortable, and hugely reliable…I will be sad when and if it ever wears out! Although I may be tempted by this one come August of 2014!
Change it every 2-3 years if it makes you feel better. Use Delvac 1, available at Lufteknic. Plenty of talk on Rennlist about trans lube. What you ought to do is drive it more often!
2005 996 GT3 Cup full factory race car...been running factory fill, Delvac 1 75w90...no complaints there but I've run the SVT in my old 911's and it shifts nicely and quieted down the transaxle.
