Care to share your analysis? Debating an XW-30 for the dilution. I’m 0w because I’m at least an 8hr cold soak to negative F start(-26F is the coldest I’ve seen)

I look forward to see what you’re experiencing. 2.1% dilution isn't bad. But viscosity and TBN are also pretty different. Not by a lot but not what I would consider margin of error. I haven't tested my 2021's 6.2 but it would probably be around the same or slightly higher. Thinking about doing...

As in most of the comparisons I’ve seen, 2-4 times the percentage that blackstone reports is close to actual measured fuel dilution.

Have you seen a lot of dilution with the L87? This is my daily, which has 2-3miles stop and go, then 17miles @ 70mph straightest highway one way, 5 days a week. In and around town on the weekends. Out of 9500 miles currently, 300 and change eng hours, 15.6mpg, 30.5mph average per the computer.

Yes, that’s consistent with reports that I’ve seen from blackstone compared with OAI.

    06 Infiniti M45 - PP Euro L 5W30 - 5.8k miles

I think having to add that much make up oil might be skewing the results more than the previous oils. That's close to half the sump isn't it? Also, just as a data point on fuel%, a recent sample I sent to Blackstone came back <0.5 and the same sample sent to OAI was reported at over 2%.

Car has been sitting for almost 2 years.

If it were mine and been sitting for 2 years, I'd want to prime the system before starting and then change the oil after it was warm.

Not sure. I have some Champ PH10063XL (Jun and Sep 22 date codes) that are metal core/louver and some Champ PH2867XL that are E-Core but they both have an orange colored ADBV.

While searching for Champ PH10063XL filters, I was directed to a local shop which carries the Parts Master WL610255X which I'd never seen before. It's shares a similar number as a Wix filter but is made by Champ Labs. It uses a synthetic blend media, silicon ADBV, and a yellow Hydrogenated...
