What should I do with ten quarts of M1 Euro 0w40?

+1 for the ranger...the m1 will go down to 30 viscosity within a few thousand miles (mine was at 30 viscosity when I changed the oil at 1 yr / 5k, using the same oil, per Blackstone analysis)...or as others suggested, return them to Walmart and get a gift card for other oils.

    Annual Pennzoil rebate; expires 8-31-25

Seems like PUP maybe a better deal with $30 off...instead of $20 for PP. Just scored two jugs of PUP (5W30 and 5W20) at a local Walmart but scarce....PUP wise 0W20/30 NONE, 5W20 1 jug left, 5W30, 5 jugs left....not sure what happened but highly doubt people ran out this morning, on the start...

5k OCI- does oil choice really matter?

FWIW, and from my personal experience: 1. In the old days, two friends had the same Toyota Camry, bought at the almost same time 2. One with M1 Synthetic and DIY, the other one conventional, cheap $29.99 oil change 3. Similar driving (70% highway) style and after 100K or so 4. The engine sounds...

    Clearance - JTP Full Syn 5qt 5w20 - $11.95 - Walmart.com

Not sure I have seen a label / statement such as this as I usually saw "manufactured / distributed BY" (e.g., Warren) Of course, this is manufactured for JTP. For those in the industry / military, could this be a case where JTP is trying to supply "something"/oil (especially re-refined /...

    M1 FS X2 5W50 - $6.99 at Napa

No...been using xW40. As the car is reaching 20 years old, thought I would try 5W50..

    M1 FS X2 5W50 - $6.99 at Napa

Wanted to try 5W50 and found this - not an earth-shattering deal like Walmart "errors" or the Pennzoil $25 rebate but the price seems to be decent as the demand is not high for these. You can get an additional $5 off by signing up on their rewards program (or an existing user, you can use a...

    Mobil1 Hybrid 0w-20

Because of marketing? I posted previously about rotella gas truck...my friend took a jug to a mechanic for his passenger car yet the mechanic refused to use it because "it was only for trucks"

    Mobil1 Hybrid 0w-20

Interested to see how long this marketing will last...rotella gas truck may have failed as people thought this was only for trucks. Who knows...at this rate we may get mobil 1 2.5w 17.5 hybrid oil only for white cars with LHD driven by right handed people who can speak 3 languages :)

    Mobil1 Hybrid 0w-20

Yes, for our Subie Outback and Acura MDX as I got a few jugs due to Walmart's sale / error. For all I know, this can make our cars explode as this is "only for" Hybrids per label....just like Rotella Gas Truck which is made only for trucks and makes passenger cars explode (pun intended) :)

Approved vs. "Meets or Exceeds / Recommended"

Yes, as you may know, Mobil owns 50% of Infineum (Shell being the other 50%) so Mobil must have some leverage. My understanding is that if Infineum sells an A+B package, for example, to Mobil 1 which gains Porsche approval, then a XYZ company buys the same A+B package and adds C and D (and/or...

Approved vs. "Meets or Exceeds / Recommended"

Really? Those dealers assign inexperienced newbies??? :) I only, personally experienced: 1) ACURA: stripped drain plug (and they charged me like $25 for a new drain plug which is more expensive than a LN Engineering Porsche drain plug), 2) PORSCHE: "almost" stripped aluminum hex drain plug (a...

Approved vs. "Meets or Exceeds / Recommended"

Searched through the forum and I think I understand most of the comments. In addition, referring to some other sources (e.g., Lake Speed Jr’s youtube), I have concluded the following and would be good to get some validation / advice / feedback: Approved – easy and basically the oil...

    lets see your oil stash!

Dude..you want to measure?? :-) if you place oils in a cool place without sunlight, they will degrade and make your engine explode...tell you what...I would be happy to recycle them for you so just leave them outside......that s a long way to say "I am impressed" :-) I usually keep 2 year...

the OFFICIAL "Advance Auto Parts (AAP) closing" thread ... put ALL deals, rebates, etc here ... (forum rules still apply)

What DFW said...our local one marked up the prices then applied the discount. The oils are about the same, every day price as Walmart and just picked up 2 bottles of M1 75W90 ($10 each) and WD40 (this I needed and was only about $1 or so less than Walmart).
