    The pet thread...V2

Wow, I have a very short memory. I posted in that thread from March...I could have sworn that was on another forum Mods, feel free to delete this duplicate thread. My mistake in posting it...sorry. As for the dragon, they are both a healthy weight. Bearded dragons are hearty lizards and...

    Nissan wins NYC taxi contract

Hopefully the driver will be able to hear the passenger speak their destination over the piston slap. I also hope they bring some top-up oil along their routes... Seriously though, it sounds like a nice roomy option. The only variable is how well it will hold up to NY taxi use.

Castrol Syntec 5W-30, 8,700 miles, 2005 Acura TSX

Looks like you hit the limit. Wear looks great, but the oil looks spent. If you think your driving style will remain the same, then 10k is probably fine again...but there isn't much room left in that OCI with that oil. Still though, good report for 10k!

what to clean carpet and floor mats with?

I have one of those little carpet cleaners. Bissel brand...it works fine. However the best thing I have ever used on floor mats and synthetic fiber carpet is Meguiars Quick-Out. Spray it on, wipe it off....rarely need a brush, the agitation from a rag when you wipe it off is typically enough. I...

    California Car Duster

There is a fine line between just enough dirt, and too much. If your car is garaged, then a CA duster would probably be fine. But an outdoor car, even after a single day, is beyond a Dusters abilities. I like to call them California scratchers lol. Only thing I loath more is those [censored]...

Does anyone drive their car gently?

I drive as hard as the speed limits will allow, which even for my Focus isn't all that much. Where I really hammer my car is corners. Z rated tires and SVT suspension means I don't brake for any bend...most of the time I speed up . If anything wears out first, it'll be the springy bits. As it...

    AF447: Flight Data Recorder Recovered

The only plane my father loves more then the 757 is the F-14 he flew in the Navy. But out of the 757, 767, DC10, and 777, he likes the 757 the most. Don't even get me started about fly by wire and computer mitigated control surfaces. He wasn't all that thrilled when he moved to the 777 for those...

Besides SuperTech, is there even a bad oil.......

Can someone explain to me why they still allow SA oils to be sold at all? I can find them on the shelves of stores in metropolitan areas, and can't think of anything that would call for such an oil in an urban environment. Nobody reads the back of the bottle, and I'm sure some poor soul has...

What has been your best Fuel System Cleaner?

Well, here are my thoughts. I use Gumout Regane, however Techron is still the only additive that has actually made a palpable difference in the way my engine feels. Smoother is probably the way to describe it. I don't really use fuel adds to change engine feel, but to keep things clean...so I've...

What do you do when a dog attacks you?

You're a stray magnet lol. One thing I can say is that tazers are extremely effective against aggressive dogs. I've seen animal control turn the most violent aggressive dog into a wimpering puppy with one shot from their tazer harnesses or whatever you call those sticks with the loop at the...

    She notices a bubble...

Most places like that don't like people getting tips as working on each vehicle is typically a group affair. Anyways, I've only heard good things about tire mounting at Walmart. Two techs each verify the torque, etc etc.
