    Ester based motorcycle oil

Klotz is an ester based oil. A local Ducati shop recommended it to me years ago. Most dealers can order it from parts unlimited, and Klotz also sells direct. Never had any issues with it other than it is expensive. Smells great too!

This Peak is F22. I used it to flush/ fill my 2008 Miata. No problems.

    E15 replacing E10?

I know this is a naive observation, something so important as the oil industry ( including gas, diesel, asphalt, etc, etc), you think would be run much more efficiently, especially in a capitalist economy. Makes no sense to me to pump out oil and sell it only to buy it back in a different form...

    E15 replacing E10?

What is the obstacle to building refineries that can use the “sweet” crude? Or a facility that can do both?

    E15 replacing E10?

I defer to you, as you have more details. Not sure who is to blame for the fuel situation. The facts that I have are that corn is not the best thing to start with to create ethanol, and I cannot get any E-0 for my OPE and Summer use vehicles. Daily driver runs fine on E-10, I would really like...

    E15 replacing E10?

I’ll take a couple of 5-gal buckets at $30 per…🤣🤣🤣 Seriously, IDK why we have no E-0 at any pumps here. I’m not the only one paying $100 for 5 gallons at the powersports dealers. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    E15 replacing E10?

VP fuel sells 94 octane E-0 in 5-gal buckets. Most powersports dealers can get it. About $100/bucket. I buy one at the end of the fall and fill my MC for Winter storage.

What makes certain spark plugs not work in certain engines?

I got a set of NGK copper for my 2006 5.7 hemi. Plugs were supposed to be gapped at .44, the .35 feeler would not go in. I opened every one of the sixteen a little bit until the .44 feeler would barely go in.

    5.7 Hemi spark plug question

Dealer did them about 40k miles go. Weird that they installed iridium. I went with NGK standard plugs and will plan on 30K replacement. I’ll need to read up on the plug tube seals. Hopefully not too difficult.

    5.7 Hemi spark plug question

I installed the new plugs today and went for a short ride. Seems OK. I clears the misfire code and will take it for a longer ride tomorrow where I can warm it up and get on it a bit. I don’t recall ever seeing a plug with the center electrode missing. The plug tubes on that cylinder were very...

Yes, I assumed that the ground electrode got spit out the exhaust valve.

    5.7 Hemi spark plug question

Ground electrode is gone on one, and center electrode is gone on both. 🤯 Air filter is clean and relatively new.

    5.7 Hemi spark plug question

For any Chrysler/Dodge mechanics- I just changed the plugs on my 2006 Magnum. It was running rough when under acceleration, and I found a code for a misfire in cylinder #4, but no check engine light had come on. These 2 plugs are from the same cylinder, and both are damaged and oily. (Aside...

    E15 replacing E10?

    I would gladly pay $1.00 a gallon more for E-0 91 octane.

    E15 replacing E10?

Kinda sounds like it’s not really about using less fossil fuels………..

    E15 replacing E10?

Minimum of 4 gallons is a way to protect motorcycles from damage. Stupid decision, but it was a bad compromise. It was meant to account for multi use single handle pumps. So a motorcycle wouldn’t add 2 gallons where the gas in the hose might be E-15 or higher. I live in RI and we cannot get E-0...

    E15 replacing E10?

My understanding is that Brazilian uses sugar cane to make ethanol. Much more efficient than corn.

    E15 replacing E10?

The AMA (American Motorcyclist Association), has regular updates on the E-10/E-15 thing. The corn farmers are lobbying to get the federal government to require E-15. Under the idea of less reliance on fossil fuels. Bad news for anyone who uses gas powered items that don’t get regular use, or...
