    Fram CH11665 FAIL

I’ve been slacking. Work has been killing me. Those were set to be cut open yesterday before all that happened lol There’s a Bosch, EcoGard synthetic and a couple others setting on the bench for tomorrow as well.

    Fram CH11665 FAIL

Tomorrow afternoon I’ll get some up close pictures of where the media meets the end cap. Might take my endoscope and go up inside the tube as well. Going to wait until after I speak with Fram next week before I cut it apart just in case they want me to send it to them.

    Fram CH11665 FAIL

I’m not sure, I’ll look at it in the morning. I was going to dissect it this weekend but was considering contacting Fram and seeing if they would do anything.

    Fram CH11665 FAIL

I’ve been using PG made filters for a while now because they do great. I used Fram this time because I found the Fram Ultra hidden in my stash and this orange box was cheap knowing it would only be used for a very short time. Makes me sick to my stomach. I’ll never use another. It looks like...

    Fram CH11665 FAIL

Not starting a war nor do I want a bashing thread. 2021 Jeep GC 3.6 81k on unit. This was from a VR&P 5k OCI. The oil change started out with a Fram Ultra that was changed halfway through to this Fram orange box. It was changed just in case there was a lot of cleaning done from the R&P. So...

Thanks! She’s been in the family since new. Only reason I use HM is because of age. Rural King has it on sale for $16.99 a jug often. She’s a great commute car, simple, comfortable and gets 30 mpg.

What era of cars has the right amount of tech - helpful but not distracting?

I despise touch screens in cars, I prefer buttons and knobs. Anyways…… I really enjoy the “technology” in my 00 Buick. Has ABS and traction control, cabin air filter, air bags and a simple dual zone climate control. Only lack Bluetooth but was easily fixed by an fm transmitter. No thrills at...

I’m doomed, might as well drive it to the junkyard at the end of this oil change. 😢

    Valvoline Restore & Protect

The Wife’s 21 Jeep GC w/ 76k miles had 6k OCI’s done most of its life using store brand synthetics. Until a couple changes ago I decided to back it down to 5k. With the current trend of finding coked rings it can’t hurt to run the slightly shorter oci even if my logic is misplaced. There...
