An UOA will tell you more than any thing else. I would get one done at the when it comes time to change your oil. From here you can decide if the oil you are using is protecting you for the amount of miles you are doing. I would only do this once unless you want to increase miles between changes...

I use the 910s on all my B&S engines and also on my Kaw powered zero turn. Don't have a Kohler but if the gasket matches up to the base it should work. Like posted above if you have one try it.

In your area plain M1 5w/30 but I would use plain M1 10w/30 because I am still stuck on it.

I have a 2007 chevy w/t classic with the 4.3 V6 . I don't go by the oil monitor. I just change it as soon as it hits 10K miles. If I use the oil monitor it will tell me to change at around 11K miles. I must be easy on the oil if this monitor takes into account my driving habits.
