Vanguard is not spec for a motorcycle oil. Right under the JASO MA/MA2 it says "Follow the engine's manufacture's recommendations for specific performance and viscosity requirements." I do use a CK4/SN oil in my air cool.. The SN makes it meet the spec.

If you were to ask Shell what oil they would recommend I bet it won't be a diesel only rated oil. Why is that?

The whole thing says made in China. If I had to do it over again I would have gone with the Ryobi version. A lot cheaper and looks the same except the echo has a bluetooth and a nice info setup about fuel, load, remote stop and other goodies.
