Okay Chevron, Make 6 qt boxes, thats 1.5 gallons for those who can't count that high, in the Delo series.

I am thinking of getting a Ford Ranger. Seems to me I am better off using the cheapest oil that meets spec and change it often. Any thing wrong with changing the filter every other oil change ? Not much left of the old oil in the filter. If I remember correctly soot is not capture by the filter.

When I saw the hood pop up I thought who is this changing the oil in my truck. Can't beat this deal getting a good quality oil change with filter for less than $7. I myself just grab a PF52 or PF52e from walmart with 15/40 delo. Not as cheap as yours but cheap enough for me. I do 10K oil...

All my air cools get supertech hd30. Zero turn(Kaw engine) gets 15/40 delo and generators get 10/30 sy.The only reason for the 10/30 sy is it may be used in colder weather.

I am a 10/30 fan. I live in the south and may have seen the temps got to 30 degrees one or two times this year. I would love to see what the numbers look like with a 45% 10/30 oil. But my question is why is the price the same for a 5/30 and a 10/30? Seems the 10/30 would be cheaper to make.

Yes to a degree. I am partial to chevron products but will buy other brands if the price is right. I don't care for rebates but prefer a sale up front. The new 6 qt Havoline boxes do have my attention.

My train of thought. If it has a 4 cycle engine on a mower it is good to go. If I have a 2 cycle engine on a trimmer or a blower battery power is what I would rather have. My 2 cycle string trimmers now back up the battery string trimmer.

I have a gravely 100 series zero turn with the Kaw engine. I use Delo 400 15/40 in mine. It is CK/SN so it meets the gasoline engine specs. Cheap too as compared to using some specialty oils.

Any thing with a Briggs & Stratton grass cutting equipment gets 30 w HD. Any generator gets 10/30 syn only because may have to start in cold weather. Zero turn, 4 wheeler and tractor gets gets 15/40 . I could just use delo 10/30 blend in every thing to just stock one oil but why make it easy.

Buy the Havoline 6 qt box from Walmart. Looks like the semi is a good deal. If not stick with the syn Supertech. Car still in warranty? Follow the grade/specs called in manual. If not 10/30 for me in Georgia.

Walmart wants $22 while HD wants about $30.I hate throwing money away but for the $8 saves me time. No pull start and jumping it off with another battery gets old quick. I think I just get the HD battery. I am passing this on in case you are looking for a battery.

A straight 30wt syn for the win. Who makes such a creature besides Amsoil? Or just about any 10/30 syn will fit the bill? If I end up with a turbo after warranty it will be a 10/30 oil in my sump.

I just saw the 6 qt boxes at Walmart. Only conventional and semi HM boxes. Looks like my next oil change will be the semi HM unless the syn comes in stock then.10/30 is what I would use . I have been using Delo 15/40 but like the 6 qt and price point.

If I was to get a Ranger it would be a XL , Supercab, Grey, 101A, STX package and electronic locking rear end. I would also do the rear seat delete. I think it list at a good $28K. If I could get it below $26K I would buy. I don't tow and I do have an utility trailer mainly for the zero turn...
