New engine technology - lots of HP out of a small package

Maybe we can get them on here to ask questions similar to Pennzoil. :)

New engine technology - lots of HP out of a small package

They have a working prototype and they are starting initially with Aerospace but said it could be adapted for standard gasoline and other applications. The whole video of all them talking about the engine is about 30 minutes of the total video length. As for sealing like Apex Seals they...

The hard day has come but the suffering has ended

Thank you for the kind words everyone and the prayers. It's greatly appreciated. Once I've got my mum in a good place / head-space, I'll be back here a little more often because I miss the community. It was just hard to help my mom care for my dad outside of work and still find time for much...

Thank you, I Just wanted to share and figured it was easier to post it here than try to remember everyone that sent me messages in the past.

The hard day has come but the suffering has ended

Hi Everyone, For those of you that knew the battle my dad had with cancer these past 7 years and the long fight he put up, I just wanted to let you know that he passed peacefully yesterday afternoon in his sleep. While I thought that the 7 years watching him deteriorate would help prepare me...

4,000 mile oil change interval (with Synthetic) from now on.

We have many engines in our family doing well with OCI's over 4,000 miles (6400km) and with conventional to boot. If you are concerned reassure your fears with evidence... Buy a cheap LED lit boroscope camera from Amazon and stick it down the oil filler tube and in the drain plug of the oil...

Anyone still watch movies on VHS or dvd?

We still watch a lot of DVD's but I'm slowly getting them all "backed up" and put into my NAS which runs Plex Server so I can stream it anywhere in the house and outside of the house for me and my friends/family because we have Fiber 500/500 internet so bandwidth isn't an issue.

I turned 48 today, at what age did you start to feel old?

I turn 40 this year and I hate everything about it. I hate that my body hurts in places it never did before and that I keep discovering new things every year that it doesn't want to do like it used to.

How bad is my engine? Or need a follow up test to really know.

Excellent point but I don't think that is an issue with these particular engines. I get what you mean though. :)

How bad is my engine? Or need a follow up test to really know.

The metals aren't high enough to think that the engine has developed a severe mechanical problem to cause the oil consumption all of a sudden. It would be well into the 100's or 1000's of PPM if that were the case. Something else is going on here that is causing the consumption all of a...

    2012 Chevy Cruze 1.4T - Amsoil ASL 5w30 - 1 yr /13k miles

Amsoil has very advanced chemistry and additive packages not all listed on a UOA that goes beyond things like Calcium, Boron etc., I'd stop messing with it using your oil additive because it could be giving you less than desirable results and contradicting what the oil was designed to do. At the...

    2020 Dodge Caravan 3.6L 6,000km (3750 Miles) Amsoil XL 5w30

Sorry I hadn't seen the latest pricing on Supertech Synthetic. It's been a while since I relied on Walmart for anything because of them stopping price matching in the grocery department and also because every time I would go to the oil section they never had anything I wanted/needed. I didn't...

    2020 Dodge Caravan 3.6L 6,000km (3750 Miles) Amsoil XL 5w30

Yes, the next change I'm running out a lot longer now because I have a basis of where things sit and most of the new engine wear is complete judging by where the metals sit comparison to the averages (until I have a trend built by more tests). Also I found a lab locally (Fluid Life in...

    2020 Dodge Caravan 3.6L 6,000km (3750 Miles) Amsoil XL 5w30

I don't want changing oil brands (oil chemistry) to contribute to the data being off, I wanted it conservative until I ran the first report for this engine which this is. Also I'm not doing nearly the miles I used to because of where I'm working now. This was the miles I did in about 6 months...

I don't intend this short of a run on the regular. If you have a look at the conversation above you will see why it was this short.
