Does anybody know the ash content of these oils outa curiosity? I was debating for awhile on the next oil to try in my 6.7 Powerstroke, and after chatting with Dave, the super fast and helpful response was enough for me to give HPL a try, just received this week, looking forward to getting it in...

There was 5gallons on the shelf in Woodbury, MN today.

No additives, completely stock. May get hammering down the interstate a bit faster then I should at times in a hurry, but for the majority of it, try taking it fairly easy. Truck is equipped with a 3:31 rear, where most have 3:55 or lower ratio, so I suppose the engine has to grunt a bit more...

There was just a few comments along the way that made it seem as though the Schaeffers was at fault for the high Iron in my previous UOA and that they would run away from it, more or less was just showing that it is indeed not because of the Schaeffers and that it posted similar, even higher...

Well, not sure what I have going on, perhaps my Engine is just shedding some Iron right now or perhaps it is just from towing my 5th Wheel RV around, but a switch to Amsoil 5w-40 definitely did not help my high Iron compared to the Schaeffers 5w-40, actually a bit worse in terms of ppm per mile...

Sounds like it does or should I say will. A 5w-40 to be following later this yr as well.

Anybody seen any testing data on the new Motorcraft 2124S? Would be interesting to see how that stacks up? Or even the 2051S it replaced?

Do the PureOnes not have the wire backing on them? Good to know, have not cut one apart. Anyone have any input on this filter? I’m on my second oil change on my 17’ F250 with the 6.7 Powerstroke using this filter and had always used OEM up until discovering this baby at Menards for $7.99. Not that I want to cheap out on this truck, but seems like a “quality” filter for the price...

Depends on the one I suppose, but a knowledgeable one with years of experience that has for example taken 10 Ford 6.7Powerstrokes and ran oil X, and 10 running oil A and 10 running B, for several hundred thousand miles of tough abuse and noticing a significant reduction in engine/emission...

I have nothing for or against this company, absolutely zero experience, but I will say the construction industry is probably the absolute best test of lubricants there is to be had, and if after millions of miles on trucks and thousands of hours on equipment, a product has the head mechanic...

I agree on the website, could be better. Sure doesn’t look like they spend a whole lot on advertising either, lol, seeing as though I have literally never heard of them, but goes to show they probably make some pretty good products if they are making it from one shop to the next by word of mouth...

Thank you, this might just be what I try next. I’ve pondered using Cenex oils for quite sometime but have been basically using Schaeffers in everything. May just give this a try. I see it is also on Fords “appproved” list for the 6.7L Powerstroke.
