Anyone else miss the regular old carbureted atv's?

I have a polaris sportsman 500 that is carbureted and my brother has one that is a few years newer that is EFI. His runs better and is way less finicky when cold.

Descale Tankless Water Heater after 5+ years?

Yeah a bit over due. They can get scaled up bad enough to plug and stop flow. You must have pretty good water where you live.

"mini rant" regarding furnace issues/HVAC companies....

The big companies are bad about this. This is how they managed to get so big in the first place. Avoid the big national companies at all cost. They are the worst! Chances are that furnace could have been easily fixed and you guys would have heat. But these big companies don't have techs anymore...

    Trane Heat Pump Warranty

Pull the module off the end of the motor and inspect it. Most common failure mode of these modules is the MOV (metal oxide varistor) failing because of a power surge. They can be replaced and the module fixed if you are handy with a soldering iron and provided the circuit board isn't buried in...

    Trane Heat Pump Warranty

Who ever your local dealer is should be handling the warranty. You shouldn't have to do anything. Anyone that handles American Standard or Trane should be able to take care of it.

Dehumidifiers and the law of Thermodynamics

Like Fitter said, Heat of compression. The refrigerant vapor being compressed by the compressor adds heat to the vapor. That heat and the heat it picked up in the evaporator are rejected through the condenser and you get warm air out.

    DIESEL OWNERS WINTER FUEL

Back when I was daily driving my 84 F250 diesel I found out that howes double dosed in the winter made the truck noticeably easier to start. 274 Moly EP NGLI #2 grease for a 6301 bearing?

Bearing should come with grease in it. Sealed high speed bearings don't need much grease.

    PSA - HVAC filters

Yeah I posted about this in another thread. Why they don't make them the same size I don't know. Its pretty much trial and error figuring out which brands will work in your filter cabinet.

Red Armor vs Walmart 2 cycle oil- or other alternative

Shes been saying that true fuel is bad for awhile and at the same time saying echo canned fuel is fine. They are made by the same exact company. Don't tell me one is bad and the other is fine when its the same stuff in the can.

    Crazy home heating oil problem

Sounds like biodiesel or biodiesel blended with regular fuel. Like doitmyself mentioned it will pick up the sludge and put it into suspension in the fuel.

I just bought a case of the concentrate from Oreillys today. Seems they still have a decent amount in stock at least locally.

    My Air Handler is Possessed!

Literally just installed a bosch air handler the other day. My suggestion would be to try unhooking G from the thermostat and see if it quits. If it does its a thermostat issue. If it doesn't its the control board in the air handler.
