    2010 Tacoma oil selection help

If you want to minimize engine wear on start-up I would stick to the 0W-20 grade. Toyota's own 0W-20 brand specifically designed with that goal in mind vs other OTC 0W-20 grades. If you're partial to Pennzoil I would go with their 0W-20 grade and annual oil changes if not longer. The limiting...

Interpreting oil pressure vs engine RPM

    TGMO 0W20 7700 miles UOA

I would think so. Doesn't Fram claim an even longer duration for their Ultra long drain filter? What you could do if you still have the used filter with 15K on it, is to cut it open to determine first hand how clogged it is, if at all.

    TGMO 0W20 7700 miles UOA

I agree you could extend your OCI to 10,000 miles if you chose to. The viscosity drop is not excessive.

Want to use Mobil 1 0w40

I wouldn't run an oil that heavy straight. I'd cut it 50/50 with a 0W-20 to give you a heavier higher VI 0W-30 than Mobil's own 0W-30. My choice in a 0W-20 would be the Mobil made Toyota brand 0W-20 although you could also use M1 AFE 0W-20.

Advice for next oil change on '04 Infiniti G35.

As others have mentioned your oil consumption is not anything to be concerned about nor to try and remedy. And a 0W-40 is not lighter than the 5W-30 you're using on start-up unless it's extremely cold and then you'd still be better off using a 0W-30.

There is no way that the KV40 is 56.56cSt. Even a dino 5W-20 is around 48cSt. I suspect BlackStone screwed up in some way. I would definitely contact them and ask for a retest.

Volunteer Firefighter - Oil Recommendation Needed

Yes it's a positive displacement pump but if the relief valve is open, which limits the maximum oil pressure, some oil will be diverted back to the sump. This will happen even with a 0W-20 at higher rev's and moderately cold temp's but of course less so than with a lower viscosity index 5W-20.
