My 07 Accord burns about a quart every 1k as well. I change the oil/filter when the OLM reaches about 15%, even with all of the top-off. If I'm using a Purolator Synthetic/Boss or a Fram Ultra, I use them for 2 OCIs. Usually 6-7k miles per OCI.

Thank you for sharing. We do not have any Rural Kings in the area but if I needed a cheap filter that one doesn't look too bad aside from the excessive glue.

I usually only use high mileage oils in 10+ year old cars with possibly brittle gaskets. I see no point otherwise. FWIW my Accord went over 570k on dealership bulk oil changes (non high mileage) before I bought it and started doing them myself.
