The dealer quoted me ~$2000. Buying a used engine would probably be more cost effective since I'm not sure how to replace the cams myself. Most K24s tend to burn oil after 100-150k, though. The entire engine could really use a rebuild as it's quite tired with stuck rings and blowby. I'm just...
I attempted to change the valve cover gasket on my long-leaking high-mileage Accord yesterday, but one of the nuts holding the valve cover on was stripped and would not come off. I decided to take it in to the dealer to have them do it, and adjust the valves while it was there. I asked them to...

Would be very interesting to see what happens with the K24. Mine also burns about a quart every 1k or so, and has like clockwork since I bought it in 2016. Granted, it has a lot more miles than the one you're testing, but it also hasn't gotten any worse. I've tried many different brands, and...

There really shouldn't be a noticeable difference in mpg between 20 grade oils. Maybe a few tenths of a mpg at best under a controlled test from one end of the viscosity grade to the other, if that. I'm guessing there's some other factor.

I agree -- I hardly drive my Camaro anymore, and only put around 500-1000 miles on it in the past few years. The last OCI I waited 2 years, since it seemed silly to waste perfectly good Mobil 1 and a Fram Ultra that I had on it. I used to do it yearly, and that seemed like a complete waste. I...
