Nobody is actually asking why they got carbon buildup in the first place.

    Fear of A.I

This is not a low of nature though, it all depends on the choices and decisions you make today. That's why I said: vote and buy accordingly.

    Fear of A.I

You Doom-Gloom guys watch way too much bad movies  you need tor read my post again, it was not all about pulling the plug. Let's say you allow AI to drive your car - yes it may actually kill you one day. The simple solution is - don't let AI drive your car - heck don't buy a self driving...

    Fear of A.I

Well basically we are talking about some code on a server, that is taking over the world by it's own and killing humanity? Seriously? Just by pulling the plug, that server is dead in the water. Also - as long as nobody gives AI the power to rule, it can do exactly nothing in the real world. It...

    Vintage Frantz Question

I have pretty much the same setup on my stovebolts , minus the PCV valve (not a big fan for several reasons) - I vent the fumes into a catch can - the vacuum for it comes from above the carb. Anyway - with your setup you should be fine, regarding any additional dust and dirt.

    Vintage Frantz Question

They fit my canister, but I don't know what year it was build. Maybe it's a more modern device - who knows? I would just give them a call.

    Vintage Frantz Question

My 235 came with a Frantz canister. When I took the engine apart, it was surprisingly clean. I could even have used the old bearings again, they still looked great - don't know much miles they had though. So I decided to keep the Frantz system. So yeah, as long as you use the original Frantz...

Norway: 80% new cars are electric

Lucky Norway -we pay the same prices and get nothing. And yeah - if a product doesn't fly on it's own, you have to make other products so expensive, that almost nobody can afford them anymore. They just hate a free market.

Cars might be making a comeback in an SUV-Dominated Market

The generic term for all sorts of wagons over here in Germany - no mater what brand - is "Combi".

We got some hail last night. All kinds of damage to houses and vehicles.

Meanwhile in Germany .... Drove right into this puppy on Friday - golf ball sized hail and all, wasn't too bad though.

What are you working on today?

Putting in a new residual valve and the fu..ing connector snapped on me - I hate those brass things. Tried to drill it out, but no dice. Meh!

FRAM PH3614 C&P 3 Year Continuous Oil Change

How is the engine doing- still running?
  17. FishFry

    Uncle Tony on oil filters.

I'm pretty sure non of the filter dissectors here have ever run a car a significant amount of time/miles without any filtration. So the real world experience and knowledge base in this field is exactly zero, it's all just what they think, based on stuff they saw on the internet. Only if you...

Thinking of going back to carburetor

For a daily driver the Q-Jet is an excellent carb. You only have to make sure it's EXACTLY (can't stress that enough) jetted and tuned for your engine and application.

    Oil extraction tool, 2023 version?

Well, when you have a first gen. Dodge Viper, that is totally possible.

Post a photo of your oil on dipstick (with miles)

I'm waiting till the engine dies. Than I do some forensics - UOA, filter dissection, taking the engine apart etc. I just want to know (like in real world experience), how long you can go that way, before something bad happens, and what exactly fails first.
