I'll add they are one of the very best UHP tyre for a daily driver and do everything extremely well without making compromises such as wear etc. They grip extremely well in all conditions. The only step up is an entry level track tyre and then of course compromises start needing to be made.

On the freeway which is a concrete pavement in some sections I can feel a very little roughness but concrete pavements are notorious for harshness and it could also be the vehicles geometry. I believe the specific point of his testing was early failure during break in. He also measured the cam for wear. It's irrelevant though. This discussion is unrelated to his video.

I think you maybe watched a different video? In this video he undertook standard oil testing and analysed the results. There was not one single dyno pull. He did say he wanted to run it on his test rig. In a previous video he presented how he used a standardised proprietary in house test method...

LSJ has a new video out discussing 'high zinc oil' which he admits is partially his making. He goes into many in depth aspects of these oils and gives a very interesting and informative narrative.

Some oils can run subjectively smoother. I'm glad you like it. Subjectivity.

Good point. I would make a bit off a fuss over they had 'probably ruined the engine' and that they may 'get lucky with just an oil chane but the damage has probably already been done' 😉.

There's not huge differences except pistons really. They all get a forged crank and big forged rods, which are the same as the B58. I forget the name of your engine but it get slightly lower compression at 9.5:1 and a bigger turbo. I have read it gets better crank and rods but IDK. They are not...

I've switched two cars over to Nulon, so far so good 👍. Seems to be a smooth running oil.

Please just change the oil and filter. Maybe use a extended protection oil in case she forgets again. It's a Toyota, it doesn't care.

You may have just realised what so many have failed to. I imagine a filler, dipstick, sump with drainage plug at lowest point, and a spin on filter. 🤯

OK I got it back from install yesterday. I did some data logging of various parameters to check everything was happy. Hot Oil pressure was 40 PSi at idle and 80 PSi at 6,000 rpm. Which is the normal operating range. So looks like the oil pump is just hitting its oil pressure targets despite the...
