Pennzoil Plat Euro L 5w-30 in a gasoline engine

Does the Euro L which is different from the Euro, have the same cleaning abilities as the regular Pennzoil Platinum made for gasoline engines?

Pennzoil Plat Euro L 5w-30 in a gasoline engine

With the DI design, I was planning 5k miles on this change. Car was on a conventional oil diet up until 3.5k miles ago. I used PP Ultra 5w-30 during my last oil change and the oil came out very dark after 3.5k miles. This car turns oil dark within 500 miles after an oil change. This is my first...

Pennzoil Plat Euro L 5w-30 in a gasoline engine

I have a 2011 Infiniti M56x with the DI V8 that requires 6.4 qts of oil. I used 5qts. of the Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 Euro L and 1.4qts of the regular Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30 oil for an oil change as this is what I had on hand. I am now beginning to realize the Euro L is made for Diesel engines...

Toyota 2GR-FE (3.5L) Water Pump Leaking

I'm looking for some advice. My 2008 Lexus Rx350 AWD water Pump started leaking. This my second Toyota product with this engine where the water pump gave out before 60K miles, the first being on a Lexus ES350 I used to own. I know these were a common problem on these engines across Toyota/ Lexus...

    My new Coupe

Honda has been doing great on their designs lately. They really turned it up on the new Civic. The 2 Door Civic looks amazing and is probably their best design yet.

Carbon Deposits on the exhaust tips of D.I. veh.

I have a Infiniti M56x (Q70 5.6L V8) and noticed that the exhaust is darker than any of my previous cars in between washing (mileage equivalent). Is this the nature of the beast and all direct injection engines? Vehicle designed to run rich?

F.I. Cleaner Worthless on Direct Injection?

I have a Infiniti M56x (Q70 5.6 V8) with a Direct Injection System and from everything I have read online a quality fuel injection cleaner that you pour in the tank won't do much in comparison to a regular fuel injector system. Inputs?

Selling a car for more money. Capital gain?

Ok, now lets say, the car was bought for $11,000 and sold for $16,000. Won't the bank report the certified check that you deposited for $16,000 since it's over the $10,000 threshold?

a different top up oil was used

No worries. It's a fairly insignificant amount and will cause no damage. I believe most Subaru's in the U.S. call for 5W-30 and 5W-20 whilst having the same engine as yours. Drive the entire OCI (Oil Change Interval) without worry.

    Minimum OCI for Honda

I agree with many above. Change the oil at MM without an issue. Honda MM's calculate how you drive and base it off of that. By you using Pennzoil Platinum, most likely you can reset the MM once it reaches 0% and drive until the MM reaches 50% again. This way you are utilizing the Synthetic oil...

Selling a car for more money. Capital gain?

I'm not sure if this has been discussed but it may benefit us all. Lets say one of us on this forum, purchases a used vehicle for $5,000. Less than a year later, sells it for $10,000. By law IRS wants us to report this as a capital gain. I read somewhere that if you own that vehicle for more...

    Havoline Pro DS Synthetic

Did they change the formulation of this from the Deposit Shield full synthetic? I see them on the shelves right next to the old bottles with the same sku. New formulation or a new new label with semi new name, "Pro DS" or simply a new marketing technique with a new and more "appealing" label?

Two piece CV boot - experiences?

I'd save your old oem shaft by replacing the torn cv boot with an oem one from the dealer. A $63 shaft doesn't sound like its a quality piece that will serve as long as oem

Two piece CV boot - experiences?

Junk. OEM with cv boots is the bst way to go in most applications for longevity

New to me 2014 Sonata 2.4 (again)

You should be fine. The first oil change in a used vehicle can be served as a flush and can have a shorter interval. Seeing that your new car has only 12k on it with at least one oil change in its history, I doubt it has any accumulation from lack of oil changes. However. with so very little...
