Hein Werner HW93652 3-Ton Floor Jack

I have a HW 2 ton that I bought a few years ago. Well made, but very heavy and a little slow to pump up. My car was featured in an auto parts store calender, so I won a gift certificate and bought the jack with it

    Painting brake caliper

I use one called G2 Caliper Paint. It is a two component epoxy that brushes on. Cant see the brush marks once it dries. Only issue is that as a two component, you have to use it all in one application, so can't go back and touch it up the next day. You can buy it at Tire Rack https://g2usa.com/

A little history regarding my old employer, Pilkington. They were founded in England and invented the float glass method of production in the 1930's which became and still is the industry standard. Pilkington, through its Triplex brand, was a major supplier for all the cars manufactured in the...

    Ford windshield or quality aftermarket?

I'll chime in here. I worked for a major OEM glass manufacturer for 18 years in QC. The major manufacturers like Pilkington, Fuyao, St. Gobain, PGW and AGC all make OEM windshields for a variety of new cars depending on whether or not they were awarded the contract. That means any of them are...

    Polishing Glass?

I worked nearly 2 decades for a major OE glass manufacturer. Cerium Oxide is the only thing I would recommend. Like others have said, don't dwell too long on one area as there is always the possibility of creating wavy distortion. Anything you can feel with a fingernail isn't going to come out.

warranty calls for tool destruction !

I recall a visit to a GM assembly plant many years ago when I worked for a large supplier. They had a salvage area where damaged and defective parts were disposed of. The person in charge would take a sledgehammer to everything. Told me he didn't want to anyone working there to be tempted and...

Getting parts from the same warehouse is much cheaper than having multiple warehouses, but adding more items from the same one still can increase the shipping cost.
