very old oil stock at Walmart

Agreed. High possibility of it being Mobil 2. Scammers should at least tale enough pride in their treachery to wipe down the outside of the container.

dealer service advice vs my choice

I had that happen once on a Ford Taurus that I had. Went to an independent place that had a OC deal. Told the guy that I wanted 5W30 in the car. He went on a huff about how I would void the warranty (he wanted to put 5W20 in it because of the modified specification.) I asked him exactly what...

    Rural King Battery Warranty?

Have the battery tested and find out. Any Autozone or AAP will do it for free.

Single Stage Snowblowers ... I've been missing out

Frankly, single stage is all I want. Easy to maneuver, easy to transport. I'm on my third (a Toro.) I've had 2 Toro's and a Craftsman. Have no need for anything else.

    Considering Dropping Collision Coverage

Good to know. They started offering here a couple of years ago. I'll give them a look if I need to make a move.

    Considering Dropping Collision Coverage

Whether you keep it or not is purely a personal decision that you have to resolve as you look at your personal situation, in addition to crunching the numbers. In my case, I carry full coverage on everything, due to being able to access very reasonable premiums. Even on my 22 year old pickup, I...

    Line at advanced auto.

Especially since there is nothing "Advanced" about them. It's a shame someone couldn't leave Western Auto alone.

03 Ford E350 500K miles with low compression??

I'd say for four hundo, you did well. Other than the back end, it appears pristine. Around here, 98% of those are rust buckets, if they are even running at all. If you need it operational, I'd just drop a boneyard engine in it and carry on. Otherwise, do what you said and use it as a pod.

    You Tube TV $83!!

I rationalize it because I am still better off than I was with cable (now down to $50/mo. in savings.) I also enjoy not having to rent equipment to decipher a signal that I am paying through the rear for. However, I'm open for other options if anyone offers a package as comprehensive as this one...

Are any of these $tealer$hip recommendations legitimate

They look like 7 year old control arm bushings. They have some wear. They aren't pristine. However, they don't appear unsafe. In regards to the pump, I'd be more concerned with that. First thing that I would do is find a good independent (or better yet an independent facility that specializes in...

Sharp is another one that is a bummer, as well. The set that we had before the LG was a Sharp, I think that it was a Aquos. Bought that one to replace our second Mitsubishi. After we bought the LG, we gave the Sharp to my Inlaws. They got another couple of years out of that, until it died at the...

Should I Move To Las Vegas?

I'd think the tax savings alone would merit such a move.

    Honda and Nissan to Merge?

This. Would not surprise me to see a reworked Frontier with a Honda nameplate on it, or some other Hondas reworked and sold under the Nissan nameplate. Much of the merger will play out in the infrastructure and engineering end of things. I can't imagine both dealer networks not being maintained...

    2025 Chevy Trax?

Same target market. BIL traded off his '08 HHR on his. Friend traded off her '11 Cruze on hers.

Chev-woo would be the appropriate moniker for these (most accurately pronounced while in mid sneeze.)

I'll issue a third on the LG OLED. When I bought a new set about three years ago, I had no preconceived notions in regard to brand loyality. That went by the wayside for me when Mitsubishi left consumer electronics. So, I went to the reviews for guidance and everyone was raving about the LG...

    2025 Chevy Trax?

Pretty much. Trax presents as a nice package, but the engine is woefully inadequate. I know someone who has one, plus my BIL just bought a new '25. Both say that to get any acceleration out of it, you really have to tromp it. That also corresponds with both the reviews that I have read on them...

I used Chrisco to grease bearings with good results.

    Generic knockoff? Cost is important.
