My son bought an AA DieHard for his truck and it died after a year. Replaced under warranty but not confidence inspiring. The old DieHard is no more. The one sold by AA is a DieHard in name only.

I've always had good luck with the OEM AC Delco batteries that come installed in new GM vehicles. I usually get at least 6 years from them. I don't know if the GM dealer installed replacements are the same as OEM but I will find out when the original battery in my 2017 GMC Canyon needs replacing...

The total ATF capacity is around 9 or 10 quarts I think. I would just do an ATF drain and fill now and during the next 3 oil changes since it had not been changed before you bought it.

The regular brake lights are working properly so unless there is a separate brake light switch for the third brake light that is not the problem.

I pulled in driveway yesterday in my wife's car and noticed that the third brake light on the back of the cab on my 2017 GMC Canyon was on. The 2 regular brake lights were not on and they work normally. I haven't had time to try and diagnose the problem. I have a multimeter and a test light but...
