    Cordless impact wrench

Well thanks man while I’m at it I’ll get a few for my old CP stuff as well. This would have been good to know a few years ago as it would have saved several tools on my crew.

    More Tesla investigations

I’m not sure how I’ve survived to the ripe old age of 59 lol. The sad part is these youngsters today will never get to experience some of the best things in life because according to those with the gold every single thing we do is gonna kill us. Nor will they ever have the desire and reward to...

Milwaukee right angle drill reviews please

I have the need for a close quarter right angle drill and looking for reviews on the 2415 12v brushless and or the 2615 18v. Both have the same measurement above chuck. Milwaukee’s info doesn’t call out anything about the 2615 being brushless nor does it specifically say it’s variable speed. I’m...

    Cordless impact wrench

Yeah please do post up the source as I have a real nice 3/8 20v brushless dewalt in the drawer that won’t hold a socket. We have a tool repair guy here and he told me that he has to replace the shaft because the replacement rings spread when installing them and then the customer complains that...

    Co-workers....

Id’a smoked him before he made his first 6 month probationary period. Baggage.......any sort of baggage didn’t work on my crew. I lucked out in having all 5 of my hands some ole salty dawgs and when I left the youngest one was 57. Hard workers, no lip and no baggage make for a top notch bunch...

    Cordless impact wrench

My past experience with impacts is to stay away from the friction ring versions. My big m18 fuel has the 7/16 hex drive and my fuel 3/8 has 1/4 hex drive. I’ve wore a few of the friction rings out on guns at work and it gets expensive to replace.

    Old Dayton electric impact wrench

⤴️ This. Ftw. Lots of corded Milwaukee tools were and maybe still are dc rated for the portable welders rigs.

    New tool thread

@AutoMechanic any chance that you could post up a pic of inside the hex? I’d like to see how smooth the hex broaching is. I recently had a conversation with an engineer from a large race fitting company and he told me that the best anodized fitting line wrench’s are a hard chrome finish on a...

A Question For Machinists on Rethread (Chaser) Taps

I would recommend getting an Allen head bolt of proper length and cutting a slot vertically up the threads with a 1/16” thick cut off wheel in a die grinder. That little slot will pickup a lot of trash and not damage the original threads. When I was working we had to thread stainless bolts into...
