i've always used supertech, purolator, mopar, etc.. on my ram. whatever seems decent priced at the time. trying to find a filter to find and stick to thats readily available at walmart or another box store such as menards or farm and fleet (local to the midwest)... don't want to pay the part...

while i'm at it.. my 06 dodge ram with 120k has always had kind of a lifter noise till warmed up... what would a good oil choice for that be? don't want anything expensive... wondering if there's something out there that will help with what i think is a lifter noise

never owned a ford before, got the wife a 2012 fusion with 70k on it. just changed the oil using supertech 5-20 (i use supertech for almost anything) and a motorcraft filter. how are the motorcraft filters? good? i used a supertech filter in my truck.. any good or bad news on supertech...
