See above post for a Tundra filter at it's 2nd oil change. The 1st one, as expected, was wayy worse then that. Early oil changes makes a lot of sense on those engines and time will tell if a 30wt oil will do sense also.

So, as i tought, the problem is probably not the engine or bearings themselves but the low viscosity oil used in them that isn't appropriate. Time will tell..

The Toyota 5.7l is a beast of an engine. The 3.4TT engine, relatively speaking, doesn't live up to expectations.. I would be curious to try a good 5w30 in a couple of those Twin Turbo engines and see if it helps..

One thing i saw on a 2006 K24 is the engine showing heavy piston slap after being cleaned. Never say them drinking more oil after but depending on what got cleaned, it could make sense.
