    Deionized (DI) Water

Bought the smaller 1/2 cubic foot model as the 1 cu/ft model is sold out. Tested my waters TDS today and came up with 245 to 252. So I should get about 600 gallons or so from the smaller unit. Should last almost a year I figure. But even if I have to charge the tank twice a year it will be worth...

    Handheld blowers

Does it do a better faster job than the full size blower? Would you say worth the money? Which brand did you go with? Don

    Handheld blowers

Has anyone bought or used one of those handheld blowers that you see on Facebook for drying your car after a wash? Do they actually work? I use my Milwaukee M18 leaf blower but these little handheld units look intriguing. Thanks Don

    Cleaning the oil extractor

I spray brake cleaner in it and swish it around. It keeps the crud from building up in the bottom Don

Honda recalls, can I choose which one to repair or must all be addressed?

Recalls are safety issues that NHTSA has decided the manufacturers must repair. Unless things have changed in the last decade or so if your car enters a dealer service bay, and said dealer has the parts to repair the recall, the rcall must be performed. As far as I know there is no such waiver...

Honda recalls, can I choose which one to repair or must all be addressed?

My understanding is that recalls are a mandatory fix. I do not believe that dealerships are allowed by law to skip a recall repair as long as the parts are available Don

Suspension coils change, what brand? For a Mercury Grand Marquis 1998

Whenever I was working on my older cars I would always find out that aftermarket suspension parts would always change the ride of the car. And rarely for the better. The OEM part number for your spring is 3W7Z-5560-AA. Me, I would search high and low, for these springs. Discontinued from Ford...

    Need Youtube help

I am Windows 11 and Firefox browser. Not sure what version but it is up to date. I can watch most videos just by putting my cursor on the video thumbnail. No need to open them. Even when I open them starting yesterday I no longer have the scroll bar video box pop up to show what is happening at...

    Need Youtube help

Okay I am far from computer literate. I can get by but it is a struggle. So I check Youtube pretty much daily to kill my down time. When I open Youtube it shows 4 videos across in thumbnails and then I can scroll down. When I hover over a thumbnail the video will play. There is a scroll bar at...

How to convert motorcycle tire sizes?

There are 25.4 mm in an inch. So 90 mm would be 3.54 inches. The second 90 is the sidewall height as related to the width in percentage. So a 90 height would be 3.54 times 90 percent or 3.2 roughly. And the 19 is the rim diameter. Hope this helps Don

Porsche RWB kit installation - would you do it?

I watched the whole video. 2 things stand out to me. First, dude has some crazy hair. But I wish I had it lol. Second is he has some amazing skills. It seems that all of the wide body kits in this world are made to be screwed on with exposed screw heads. Not my kind of look but the majority...

    Metric brake fitting question

The tip of the old fitting is actually the end of the brake line. Once you put a new line through the new fitting you will make a bubble flare on it and you will be golden Don

Seems like a lot of 1/2" sockets are 12-point, why?

A few years ago I bought a pretty significant set of metric and standard 3/8 and 1/2 inch impact sockets. Impact sockets are 6 point. Pretty much all I grab from the tool box now. I still have all my normal sockets both 6 and 12 point. Don

    Starter issue?

I once owned a '74 Chevelle with 350. Was having starting issues similar to yours. I replaced 2 starters and was about to do a third one in only a few months. This time I was angry and forgot to disconnect the battery. Good that that happened. While removing the starter wires I had a wire arc to...
