Is this '55 chevy 210 worth anything over scrap value ?

Not as desirable as a 2 door, but it looks complete. As long as the floors/frame are not rotted, somebody will buy it. I guarantee it. Is there a title?

    Remember the Ice Cream man?

I remember the ice cream truck(s) well. You could hear them on the neighboring streets, so you had time to go inside and locate loose change (under the couch cushions, for example). The last time I saw one was on Daytona Beach. We stopped it so my (then) pre-teen daughter could have that experience.

    More Discount Tire frustrations

There would be no logic. Once I filled the tire at a C-store, I'm going on my way, which is what I assume you did. But if someone DID do that, at least DT could say THEY were not the ones who filled a low and potentially damaged tire. I'm not defending DT's polices, just trying to understand them.

    More Discount Tire frustrations

Or, lets say the OP drove on a low tire long enough to damage it internally. If DT then fills the tire only to have it disintegrate 5 miles down the road and cause death and/or mayhem, you know who people are going to sue once they find out the chain of events.

    Ever plugged a tire yourself?

When I worked at a tire shop, I never repaired a tire until I inspected it from inside out.

    Can this tire be saved?

You could probably put some kind of plug there, but it would be something you did yourself. I doubt any tire shop would touch it.

Why Dollar Stores are bad for health, and aren't actually that cheap

I consider Dollar stores 'convenience stores'. They are everywhere and I don't mind paying a little more for a couple of things if it saves me from going to Walmart.

    work at Buc-ee's?

I've been to a few different Buc-ees and had time to 'people watch'. The employees did seem to be busy, but none seemed to act like they were hating life.... like a Walmart employee, for example.

Hurricane Idalia - landfall in Florida

After Irma, every year I start buying gas around June/July. Lesson learned. And yeah, last year I ended up putting it in the cars.

Hurricane Idalia - landfall in Florida

We lost power for 4 days after Irma. Even though it was only a TS when it got to us, the eye passed over our county. The biggest problem was lack of gasoline as the evacuee traffic from South Florida bought it before it could be replenished. The few stations that still had power after the storm...

Hurricane Idalia - landfall in Florida

My house is not far from Chiefland (on the map). We lost power at 6 am and was back on just before midnight. Thankful for our linemen.

    Tipping at Fast Food Places

At least at Subway, you pay AFTER your sub is made. Recently, I was at a Firehouse Subs and noticed the tip button on the screen when I pre-paid. I declined, but I admit I wondered if there would be any extra 'fluids' in my sub. It's sad I even considered it, but I'm sure somewhere, sometime.....

    Kitchen counter transmission rebuild

I don't know if atikovi ever responded to his marital status, but, honestly, if I was still single that's probably how my kitchen would look.

    Kitchen counter transmission rebuild

Ironically, I have a full-size electric range in my garage that I use for curing Hi-Temp painted things. I've never cooked on it, but I guess I could.

Need advice for a trip to Sarasota (right on time for a hurricane)

Yeah, here we go... My county is in the center of the cone. I guess tomorrow I get to fill gas cans and buy water. Not too worried about the storm itself.
