Kawasaki says change engine oil after 5 hrs. its in my owners manual. Hydos first change at 100 hr Id change that engine oil ASAP.

FYI the "cylinder wall damage " some Toyotas have experienced is from extended oil changes with low tension oil rings. Stick to 5000-mile oil changes or risk the low tension ring cylinder wall damage as vanishing causing sticking

Drop the trans pan and clean magnets. use 75w-90 in front and rear diff.

Changed the plugs on my Toyota 3.5 v6 and noticed only one of the pistons looks different. Any idea why? Looked like below.

Anything with low tension piston ring change at 5000 (especially Toyotas) UOA can't show everything like varnish.

When the new battery technology (solid state) comes things will turn around. But not till then..

low tension rings and 10000 plus oil changes is where the problem can start.... Rings get coked up and stick.

My 2015 4.0l Nissan engine makes horrible noise when cold started. It has 230000 miles on it and UOA are perfect. I would investigate farther. Started making noise around 80000 miles

Yes 4 years up to 150000 I think they do atf changes but I wouldn’t take to carmax for that

$1600 2016 Toyota Highlander. 96000 miles warranty good to 150000

I go on a 24hr test drive and go over inch of it then I get my mechanic to look at it.

A lot of hate for Carmax! I've had good luck with them but did a lot of research first.
