I almost picked one up for my 11 year old and I to do. They are a blast to build. Going to have to do one this winter. Thanks for reminding me.

    Whats so great about Jeeps?

They are as fun as a Challenger without getting tickets….since I can’t behave behind a Hemi. I had a YJ and now a JLU, which get/got dirt miles put on them regularly. They are as practical as a Challenger as well

    Clear Flood Mode

If my JLU sits for more than 3 days I do this as well, which is quite often. Otherwise I hear valve chatter.

    Fluid film/Blaster surface shield comparison

I was going to ask if the Blaster Surface Shield smelled better than Fluid Film. My wife hates me for a week every fall, after application to her van.

New to me 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport S

Welcome to the club! I have a 2020 JLU that does not get driven much either since I got a job with a company provided vehicle. The smiles per mile are high with this rig! Enjoy yours. Watch for some corrosion around the hinges and lower door edges. My 2020 had it on mine and got it fixed...

I meant I don't know now the union gets away with treating people they way they do. When the members threatened the strike a couple years ago, it was the first time I stood with the union after hearing the way they treated people. Not having sick time is absolutely ridiculous. 2 hour call in...

I hire an electrician for work at my plant. I heard he was on 2 day a week work weeks and 3 forced days off, so I have him coming in to do some early maintenance, since he is free. His company had no work for him. I asked why he only works 2 days and he replied that the union doesn’t have to...

Article on the effect of auto tariffs on Canada.

Yup! I worked for a Canadian company for 5 years, which included managing a fleet of F150’s and Ram trucks. Funny observation from that job: the RAMs cost less to maintain over 150,000 miles than the Ecoboost F150’s!

Car prices to rise due to tariffs and certain vehicles possibly ...

The most difficult, tiring, stressful job is being a mom. I relearn that each time my wife is sick and I have to take care of the tribe as she recovers. We have a very traditional marriage where I work and she stays home. When our first 4 kids were old enough, she tried working and hated it...

I thought the Motorcraft semi-syn was a good oil? I recall it being celebrated on this forum at one time.

Do you find this engine to turn the oil dark quicker than other engines you have had? I’ve had three of these engines (1 Altima and 2 Rogues) and I’ve always felt the oil darkens quickly, regardless of brand. I’ve run Valvoline and Mobil1 in them.

    Valvoline marketing

My work truck (2017 F150 NA3.5L) is managed by a fleet company and I am told to do 7500 mile oil changes regardless of driving style or type. I take it to Ford and they use Motorcraft semi synthetic. I snuck it in at 6800 miles this time due to the spark plugs needing to be changed according to...

how to tell if vehicle broken in properly

I don’t think anyone can treat a new vehicle worse than a college student intern at an Agricultural Coop, yet all the trucks we had went well over 200,000 miles. They looked terrible, but generally ran fine. I became less anal about maintenance to the letter after working there for a couple years.

    RockAuto Parts Lately...

I quit buying from RA because the return process is expensive and I’ve had a couple of instances where the wrong part was sent (part numbers didn’t match the order)and I had to pay to send it back. Local is the way to go. I do miss the magnets.
