The Motorcraft is a semi-synthetic where as the Mobil 5000 is not. Last I recall it was about $4 or $5 more for a 5 Qt. bottle at Wal-mart.

Try using Kroil as a penetrating fluid. You can order it on line and some industrial supply houses carry it.It is very expensive but I have heard good things from someone who uses it. it works were wd-40 won't.

That statement only means that Purolator designed it. It does not say they manufacture it. It realy is not clear who makes it or is responsible for making it. It could be made by some contract manufacturer in a Third World country with very different quality controls and standards.
